What a wild ride this kid has had - some because of his condition & some simply his own (un)doing. Ottawa could end up with a flat out dominant DE out of the deal, or they could end up with potentially the biggest meltdown in football history. A compelling article, and one can only wait and see how this soap opera turns out!

It seems like a worthwhile gamble if he can stay physically and mentally healthy. The Gades have little recourse - many top flight players are either too expensive or signed, and they could use the help. If they signed him to a longer deal or for more money, I'd be worried. Maybe this time he can channel his violent behaviour to the field. I hope it works out for the best.

Man, every time you see something like that you just wish you could do something to help them get things straightened around. The great thing about the CFL (that may not be as true in the NFL) is that I believe most owners and GM's actually care about the players and not just the bottom line. They aren't just pawns... Hopefully this can work for him and good luck to Ottawa!

I think it goes to show how tough it is to crack the NFL lineup. They can afford to pass on a guy with great physical skills because they can find a more complete package elsewhere.
