THIS is how you do beer!

Micro brewery Lake of Bays here in Ontario has done it right...

They put out a 1.89L (Growler) of "Pigskin Pilsner" just in time for the CFL Playoffs. Better still, it's in support of the CFL Alumni Assoc.

I had 'a beer' during the WSF. Might need to pick up a 'Six Pack' for the WF!

Nice! Proving the greenwhites don't have a monopoly on Pilsner.

Funny that the greenwhite fans adopted a beer that originated in Alberta before being bought out by Molson and turned into another generic adjunct-laden lager. Give me a real Pilsner any day, leave the greenwhites fans to their swill!

The sad thing is...I associate ANY pilsner with Pilsner and immediately assume it's swill and won't try it. Somewhere in the ball of swiss cheese that is my brain...I know that's not the case but I can't help it. Too many warm stubby bottles were consumed in my youth to ever want to consider drinking that crap again...

But I do like the bottle and concept of the Pigskin Ale.

It's sad that Molson has ruined the reputation of an entire style of beer, the same that Labatt did with IPA when they night out Alexander Keith's.

Interesting that it was the Riders who moaned and bitched for a salary cap, and since a cap was put in place for them, they only years they've won they broke the salary cap rules.
