Seeing as how I can't be at the Eskie camp, I thought I'd pitch in by forwarding some stuff from other camps, to keep Eskie fans up to snuff on what is going on around the CFL. I'm trapped in an airport & on a plane for a few hours today, so I'll be able to post plenty of stuff today!
But, I'll start with keeping up with the Bombers:
1: Coach Daley told a Winnipeg paper that Wynn was the most impressive QB to date in camp. While the monkey called this, I'm sure Glenn will be given his shot - only to have Wynn take the job from him by Labor Day. I mentioned it before, but with Wynn signing a new contract, the "future considerations" now becomes a first round draft pick in next year's draft!
2: OL are dropping like flies during their TC. With Orlando Bobo filling retirement papers & the loss of Moe Elewonibi, the O-line had taken a significant blow. Now Todd Krienbrink simply quit to go home, and with camp injuries, they are down to 9 guys in camp! Taman has discussed possible replacements with Daley, including possibly Chris Burns and Seth Dittman.
3: In the weird column: The Bombers seem to have given up on import defensive lineman Melvin Bradley. Although he called Daley Friday to relate a family medical emergency, he has not returned calls since...
4: Some guys having strong camps: RB Charles Roberts, Wynn, OL Jermese Jones, DBs Omar Evans and Markese Fitzgerald, DL Doug Brown and WR Wane McGarity.
Thoughts?
