McManus is bad, and Argos have a a great secondary, a little bit of both IMO. I liked the intesity for the first part of the game though

The D always dominates in preseason, they can work better as individuals, while the whole offence needs to click as a unit for success.

They replay was handled really well, IMO. Didn't disrupt anything, and TSN shwed us just what the official saw. Good stuff.

Damon seemed pretty agile there in the 1st Q. TO's D is pretty good. Ham's front 7 sucked. Hazim Hill looked decent....didnt see Avery though.

Yeah, I think so too. What's the penalty if you're wrong though?

I wasn't sure on that...I know they take away a timeout in the NFL, but since we only have the 1 timeout per half I didn't think the same thing would work.

from what i saw it was quicker than the NFL, in the NFL, they would say. the away team has chalenged that when player No. 26 caught the ball, he was out of bounds...but the CFL said, the play has been challenged.

and when it was over instead of repeating themselves, they just said...the play stands.

Indeed. I can't stand the penalty calls in the NFL...just for some reason I can't quite figure out. I guess they just seem to make it longer and more complicated than it has to be.

CFL: Major Foul, Face Mask, Winnipeg #26, First Down.

NFL: Personal Foul, Illegal Use of the Hands to the Face, Number 26 on the defence, 15 yard penalty and automatic first down.

I suppose we should take it as a compliment that we're knowledgeable enough to know how many yards the penalty is, and pay enough attention as to which team has the ball.

Actually, I wouldn't mind the refs indicating the yardage lost per foul.

By doing so, they would be educating a ton of "unknowledgeable" fans at the games.

True. Although, one can always ask someone sitting next to them, or watch how far the ref walks. But for those who don't really pay attention to the game that much, that'd probably be an ok idea.

That part doesn't really get me all that much...the biggest part is the actual penalty call. Two words is so much shorter and simpler than eight.
