OTTAWA (CP) - The Ottawa Renegades acquired linebacker Donnovan Carter from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Wednesday for a fourth-round pick in 2006.

Carter, 30, spent the 2002 and 2003 seasons with Ottawa before he signed with the Tiger-Cats as a free agent.

He made 59 tackles for Hamilton last year, nine of them for losses.

The 30-year-old from Toronto is in his sixth CFL season, starting his career with his hometown Argonauts in 2000 before joining the Renegades as a free agent.

Carter has played in 97 CFL games during his career.

He is expected to join the Renegades by the weekend

IMO he is worth more than a 4th round draft pick

no kiddin, I would have made the deal for him for a 4th rounder.

going from one loser to another, well, at least he doesnt have too smell the stench of Hamilton anymore

We'll give you one non-factor for another non-factor straight up....
I officially retract my vote for DDS as Prime Minister. He's clearly incompetent.
