    Stamps or Riders?

    Whoo! My first poll.

    Anyways I'm going to this game tomorrow and not sure who to cheer for. Hate the Riders cause I live here but hate the Stamps cause of the Alberta rivalry etc.

        This is tough....cause the Rider Priders have suddenly become cocky little *******s. But Lewis, Copeland, and Burris? I hate the Stamps.
        I officially retract my vote for DDS as Prime Minister. He's clearly incompetent.

            When put in such a bad position it would be best to think of it this way:

            Suppose there wwere to be a crossover and through the playoffs the Riders and Stamps ended up playing each other for the Grey Cup. Who would you cheer for? The answer is simple: The team that isn't from Calgary.

                  Cheer for the Riders cause there is a better chance they will retain Shivarrett thus helping us keep our playoff streak alive for another 5 years or so.

                    Gotta go for the Riders.

                    I've had a scary realization that the Riders could be considered my third favourite team in the league now.. just because I hate everyone else more.

                    1. Calgary .. ABC.
                    2. BC .. Fully blame Don Taylor and sportsnet for having him on every single ****ing night.
                    3. Montreal .. 3 grey cup matchups in a few years will do it.
                    4. Winnipeg .. My Uncle is a huge Bomber fan, and every time they win I never hear the end of it. Also seems they manage to embarass us far too often.
                    5. Toronto .. They're Toronto. Similar to Calgary.

                    When I look at Saskatchewan, it's a lot harder to find a reason to hate them. I mean, they're kind of like the Chicago Cubs. A pathetic franchise that just gets a lot of love because everyone feels bad for them and is well aware that they'll never be a true threat

                      Having to choose between those two is like asking what I would rather have...My Right, or, my Left testy removed with a sledgehammer. One should not ever, I repeat, EVER be put in that postion!

                        geez... just reading that made me feel dirty. how 'bout neither?

                        I'll be on the other side of a TV screen for that so my answer is different than it would be for one in the stands...

                        At home I will cheer for ineptitude and screw ups.
                        In the stands I would wear EE gear and cheer for the Riders... but without too much enthusiasm.

                        Also, good idea to go to Soudog's site and load up on EE stats... beyond the 5 in a row and 34 years stuff... things like 'Did you know that the Esks have the highest winning percentage all time in the CFL?' (true... except for Baltimore)
                        Turf Toe:

                          I suggest booing both equally........cheering only sloppy play, incompletions, etc against both teams
                          Before you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you insult him, you'll be a mile away, and have his shoes.
