    CFL Reffing Has No Cred. Therefore the Game Cannot Be Trusted.

    The reffing has now approached such ridiculous levels that I will only say this: If the league does not admit that there is a problem and put a serious plan in to address it before my renewal date, I will not be back next year.

    I am a loyal Eskimo fan, but if I cannot trust that the game I am watching has integrity, then all I'm watching is a farce.

          I'm not blaming this loss on reffing cause it went both ways but man was it brutal last night.

              It was the back judge who screwed us twice

                The CFL has always been my #1. But I simply do not trust the product anymore. Watching the refs is waaaay more frustrating than watching the Eskimos flounder. I'd renew every year no matter how bad the Eskimos were. But if the game itself it tainted, then I just can't.

                    Sorry to say it, but just go then.

                    I know you care about the CFL, and we can all agree that CFL officiating needs to improve, but I'm sick of hearing you bitch about it week after week after week.

                    Watch the NFL. Their fans are saying the same things about their officials, and have been for years. You don't think the SuperBowl wasn't filled with controversial (read:bad) calls? You don't think the playoff game between the Steelers/Colts didn't have a dozen blown calls? You don't think that alot of NFL fans aren't complaining about the incompetence of its officials and the league as a whole?

                    The product isn't perfect, but the league is trying to make strides to improve it. It's not going to happen overnight. If you don't appreciate the game enough, or have enough faith in the officials right now, or if you can't give the CFL the benefit of the doubt, or if you can't wait to see the seeds the CFL has planted grow to fruition then just go. Or at least stop bitching. Please.

                      Tough chit. This site, being a CFL football site, is a place for discussion about things like this. Most of us on here realize that the reffing is a serious problem for the league. So I, and others, discuss it. You don't want to discuss it? Fine, don't read the threads. So if you're tired of hearing me bitch about it, too efiin bad for you. Neg rep.

                        OK, I watched the game on TV. (Should have been at the game, but had to work, Thanks to TSN for lifting the blackout.) I know what I risk saying this, but I thought last night reffing was not as bad as it has been.

                        Garrett's interference call in the fourth was 'borderline', but he certainly was early in his contact with the Als receiver. Kabango's holding call on the TD was legit. A couple of things I thought could have been called, but I couldn't find anything glaring last night that stands out as ref incompetence. That's just my opinion, however, and really isn't worth much.

                          I thought that the refs were indeed impriving last game as well. The Garrett call annoyed me, but that was about it. Durden's PI was legit, for example.

                          IMO, the zebras are getting a bit better. The back judge seemed to love throwing the nylon, but othr than that, they let them play.

                            Last night was one of the worst games they've called. The Garrett call wasn't borderline, ol'jase. It was BS. We all got to see the replay twice. It was a crappy call. But the calls were chit against both teams.

                              Well, if you think that the call on Garret was BS, you obviously have zero credibility in assessing the officials. It was PI, clear as day. He was early and had his right arm around the receiver. Automatic call.

                              BTW, there is a huge shortage of amateur football officials everywhere. Give it a try. You never know, one day it could you that people on fan boards complain about
