if there are people in Edm that actually choose NOT to renew their season tickets because of 1 missed playoffs in the past 33 years, well I guess that would show you what kind of fan they are. NOT ALL OF YOU, just those inparticular.

I prefer to think of it as a refuse-to-lose attitude. As soon as fans accept one losing season, what's to stop them from accepting another? That being said, not renewing the tickets is kind of extreme, I'll still definately be renewing mine, win or lose, playoffs or no playoffs, and always will.
I will always go. I do, however, reserve my right to protest by bringing signs and starting chants. This is edmonton. This is the Eskimos. Losing is not acceptable! This isn't Regina!
I am not currently a season ticket holder....was a time I never missed a game from 78 to 96.....nary a one missed......I have not gone but to a handful of games since 96 (I have my reasons, but will not share them again at this time). I have been thinking about buying for next season though for my boy and I....our record has nothing to do with it, I'll always support and cheer on the green & gold though whether I'm in attendance or not.....
I once felt the same way Diesel does about Lancaster......got burned by Hughie too...
Before you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you insult him, you'll be a mile away, and have his shoes.
I've been a season ticket holder since 2002, and before that I would go to as many games as I could (which was pretty much all of them). Weather we make the playoffs or not I am renewing next year.
My grandma once told me that a true fan would support thier team through good and bad seasons. And the time that thay need you the most are the bad times.
I'll allways cheer even when the Esks are losing. I'll always go to a game no matter what the weather. I'll always renew my season tickets no matter what the team record is.
Like I said, failing to buy tickets will ensure more bad seasons. Good players cost money. Crappy teams almost always have crappy long term attendance. There is a reason why the Eskimos haven't missed the playoffs in over 3 decades.
I've got three seats in my name since 92. Missed only three games in that time. If this team didn't make it in, I would still renew but if Ned has the reigns, I'm writing a letter to the team informing them that they have my ticket money for the year, but that's all as I wouldn't go. Agree with me or not but it's my right as a paying customer. I'll be here as a season ticket holder a lot longer than Neddy will be here.
I will not, for a moment longer, support an organization who chooses to cowardly kneel where they once fiercely & proudly stood
