The reason the esks are best team in the CFL and why they get the biggest crowds. Stuff like this would help other CFL teams but for what ever reason they don't like doing little these things.
A lot of people go through life doing things badly. Racing is important to men who do it well. When you're racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting." Michael Delaney AKA- Steve McQueen

No Eskies came to my school...

(and no, it wasn't in China )
I thought I wanted a career; turns out I just wanted paychecks.

I don't remember any Esks at my schools, either - had a couple of Oilers come in for Read-In Week (Drew Bannister! ), but that was it.
We're cheering Fight Fight Fight On Eskimos...

I don't think we even had the immortal Drew Bannister make a visit to our school

Actually, I don't remember anyone even remotely famous visit our school. But we did get gold colored pencils for our birthdays

                  Who?

I lived in the north-end at the time too (went to Baturyn). If someone did come I'm fairly certain they never came to my class (or to an assembly), I'm sure I'd remember it. But at least our teachers made us the stars by making us lip sync to various musical bands

Wow, I lived a few blocks away from there! Only I went to St. Edmund's, and we got to at least SEE a player... of course, we didn't have the luxury of going to school to see him, or even doing something fun like lip-syncing; we had to go on RETREAT to see him.

We're apparently so far from civilization they couldn't make the trek to see us at our schools

And where is Edmund's? Why didn't you go to St. Charles instead?

You're right, of course - we might as well have been living in Millet! St. Ed's is off of 130 ave. and I think 115-16 st., by Rosslyn and Calder. I wish I would have - there was a bus that would take me directly there, and the folks decided my sentence for me.

Hey, I went to school with Zaharko's sister.
