Wow, never thought this was going to happen, great news! Nice of a Rider fan to be so quick off the mark to post an Esk story
I thought I wanted a career; turns out I just wanted paychecks.

Wow, a shocker. Hope he still has his game.

So does this knock Roundtree out of a job?

Surprising albeit great news. I guess he's putting in winter wheat and rye for the next few seasons?

As a starter it would have to, although I think he deserves serious consideration as a depth player. He's head and shoulders better than any of our backups currently IMO.

That gives us a line of (L-R) McGrath, Comiskey, Bakker, Lefsrud, Kabongo.

Bakker and Kabongo just instantly became better players as of a few moments ago

Whole-heartedly agree keeping Roundtree around if we can. He's a solid experienced player (albeit new to CFL) and we aren't losing much if he was to go in for an injury. Which happens to our line every year.

darn tootin' as well as was mentioned improves our NI ratio.

Great news, and a tip o' the cap to DM for this move...if Rountree is our depth at guard now, we are far better off than last year when it was between Carson and McLane......

In any case I wish he was coming back, we could sure use him."

Pretty tough to keep an import o-lineman as a backup unless of course if he can play both guard and tackle. If the Esks can skirt the ole practice roster pay or have him stub a toe you never know. Roundtree really solidified the line last year of that there is no doubt.
