If that is the case then the decision is very easy. Fire him. I don't even mind if they move him upstairs with the organization but yesterday was the last straw with him as coach.Originally posted by jcrI think if we want Hervey and Vaughn Higgins will have to go.

I think you should can him quick if you want to sign guys that are headed for FA and will not continue under his regimeBefore you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you insult him, you'll be a mile away, and have his shoes.

Yes a decisions should be made reasonably quickly so the new guy, if we get a new guy, can start working on next year. I'd like them to try and retain Higgins in another capacity as I do like the man. If they don't make a move soon they'd better wait until the new year. (I hate when guys get canned near Christmas.)

So you'd rather wait until after Christmas when all the X-mas presents have been purchased?
You are a cruel, cruel person.

If Higgins is fired, don't the Esks have to wait until after the play-offs to announce it so they don't "steal the thunder" of the other playoff teams? Perhaps it's already done...
I saw an interview with Mobes today. Is he a free agent? He was talking about how he'd like to come back here and would go to war with any of the guy's in the dressing room. But the way he said it scares me a little..."No one entertains the thought that maybe God does not believe in you." - Bo Burnham

I like Higgins. I think he has alot of integrity and is a better coach than he gets credit for. That being said I can understand why alot of people want him fired. I just hope the Esks don't rush into a decision based on the emotion of last weekends game. They need to take their time and make a decision based on the best interests of the team. And if Higgins is fired, he damn well better get some sort of management-type job, IMO that is where he is best suited. These pretzels are making me thirsty.
