While I applaud EE managements efforts to continually improve the club, I can't help but feel there has to be time for the new mix to "gel ".

With Buhl out, they need somebody.

That's what I was thinking too. If not someone to replace him outright (while he heals!) or to have on hand simply for depth.

However, I'm waiting to see the same thing happen for the OLine! Especially considering that we've had 2 guys go down in as many games!

I've heard of this somewhere, just can't put my finger on it...

...and it's not from NFL Europe

Flowers that used to play for the Steelers?

              Lee Flowers?

With the NFLe being disbanded we will see more guys from there coming up here. We need an extra body with Buhl on the 9 GIR plus Buhl wasn't off to no screaming hell start anyways.

                      My question is:

How do you get drafted in the 20th round? This must be a draft that takes an entire season.

That's not too bad...the MLB draft is nuts.

Mark Buehrle of the White Sox who was drafted in the 38th round of the '98 draft. Or how about Jeff Conine who was drafted in round number 58. Marcus Giles, 53rd round. Jason Isringhausen, 44th round.

                          Re: New DB

I would think that Ricky Williams would come off the PR and move onto the active roster for the next game and Flowers would go onto the PR. Or if the Esks wanted to take a gamble and add another import they could put Nedd on the roster and add an import elsewhere.

Better yet add ricky williams to backup the DB's and also return punts (which he did with success in college if i am not mistaken) and add either Tella or Ebell in Tompkins place.

                            Exactly.

Yup, returning punts is how he made a name for himself.
