Interesting that it was the Riders who moaned and bitched for a salary cap, and since a cap was put in place for them, they only years they've won they broke the salary cap rules.

No, but my boy was (2005)!

He almost had a pefect year:

In addition, my boy also witnessed the following:

      Gold Medal World Juniors

The Oilers were almost the first team to win from the date of his birth.

And Team Canada pooched the Olympics, where they were favoured to win.

Nope. '86 was a lousy year Esks and Oilers both blew it.

At least Canada made the World Cup that year .

Confession time. I was born in 1971. Until last year, it was the last year the Esks missed the playoffs.

Born less then 2 months after the 1980 Grey Cup win. The Eskimos were winning it while I was conceived, when I was born and when I was a year old.

I was born in 1961. My parents first bought Esks season tickets in 1962. I'm not sure but maybe they wanted to get out of the house for some reason...

I was whelped before there were calendars. We just made marks on rocks.

I think the pre-Esks won the mark before I was calved.

No for me, but after I was birthed the Esks went on a three-year run. I inspired them.

Hey, that's the year I graduated from high school. Was supposed to be in 1969 except for this little incident in Grade 5.

But were you born before or after the 86 Cups were won? If the first Cups to be played after you were born were the 87 Cups, then I'd say you had a pretty good start.
