    Coaches Criticism Thread

Well, might as well keep it one thread to avoid it going to all other threads.

On offense-every once in a while we get good play calling. In this game, we ran the ball a lot and the result is that we helped our o-line to contain that BC d-line. When we called out routes and crossing patterns, we hit receivers in stride.....Freddy and Kamau had big plays. But, either DM of BJC, or both, are very stubborn, and very stupid. They started off being predictable, and then they went back to being predictable. This can not continue. It murder to this offence. Our receivers aren't helping by giving up on routes, but when you get something that works, keep doing it, don't give up on it....

..and when Maciocia just up and says that the vet meeting probably won't help anything....I was about to flip. This is a struggling team, try to give them some hope, don't just shut them down like that.

On defense-we have good players, and we have been solid, but IMO the strength has been our front seven....or better known as the area that RC doesn't specialize in. RC doesn't learn from his mistakes and he put our players in bad positions. I have to give him credit that our defense has been playing extremely well...and I have been an RC supporter in the past, but I think it's time for him to leave.

On special teams-we go for the block and it hurts our return chances. Understandable. But we've been creative in the past, we've done some good things....I don't mind the coaching here. It's been fine. I think we have a lot of guys on STs who are only there to occupy a NI roster spot (Romeo, Lindstrom), and that lack of talent on our special teams hurt us the most. Not the coaching.

In the end....it's time for DM to go...with Chaps and RC with him. It's hurting these guys too much, and the mistakes they make are painfully obvious. It's just time.....

Exactly!! Let's be realistic here. We don't need replacements lined up before we fire our entire coaching staff. With no exaggeration, whatsoever, I can safely say that card board cutouts would do a better job of coaching this team. Boy, it sure is refreshing to make such decisions without any worry, whatsoever, of being held accountable for the consequences, or filling the positions in the future.

    FIRE THEM ALL!!!!!!

sarcasm noted.....just because we don't have a replacement isn't a good reason to keep a terrible coaching staff. There are good coaches out there...we will find someone.

Maciocia said that? Obviously I missed that living out here on the Coast. If that's true (actually, I believe you), then he just continually proves the point I've been making over and over (mostly to my wife, but she likes hockey more than football) and that is that DM does not know when to shut his mouth.

I suppose I ought to get more details than this before I rant about his inability to think about the effects of at least some of the things he says publicly, but what's the point? He'll still be in E-town next year, probably as GM. Sigh.

I'd be willing to give JC a shot as HC... I really think DM has lost it.. Listening to his post game interview I've never heard someone so dejected before.. you can tell in his voice he doesn't have a clue what to do now...

If we miss the playoffs for a 2nd straight year - DM.has.to.go. There is no iff ands or butts. Out 2 years - yer gone. End of story.

I said last season that the coach who's here when the 34 year streak ends, MUST be fired.

That didn't happen. So let's try again:

THE COACH WHO'S HERE WHEN WE MISS THE PLAYOFFS FOR 2 STRAIGHT SEASONS MUST BE FIRED!!

You did.. I was willing to give him another shot, thinking last season was just a blip on the screen.. well here we are almost at the end of year 2 and we are fairing no better.

                    Re: Coaches Criticism Thread

Rick Campbell is an absolute moron. We have now given up a 95+ yard pass two years in a row.

We have the Lions pinned 2nd and 7 on their own 10 after going up 17-7. Jackson hasn't been throwing well, so why not give him a crowded field to look at. No, instead, blitz 8 guys, Clermont takes it down to the 5, Lions score, it's 17-14. I really thought we were going to win until that happened. That blitz is risk/reward and in that scenrio the risk far outweighs the reward.

DM is what he is. All the bitching in the world isn't going to get rid of him. He will still be here next year, probably not as HC but he will be here. I want Rick Campbell back next year. He is not the problem. Now that the D is gelling they are getting it done. This same group returns next year and we can have the top D in the league.

I still feel Campbell has made boneheaded calls that put the D in low percentage situations. One cost us a game outright and today's greatly contributed to a loss.

I'm still iffy on RC. This defense is very good, but he makes some stupid decisions, and he doesn't learn from them. We tried that blitz 8 two more times in that game, and we never got to the QB, and infact gave up a big play.

That's right there was another fairly long pass to Clermont over the middle on their drive before McCrackum punted into the upright.

That blitz was a good call this time around. If Garrett doesn't run ito Morgan he makes the tackle and it's only a 15 yarder. If it had worked we would all be high fiving and have big **** eating grins on our faces.
