Who from this years PR makes it next year...

Just having a gander at who was on the PR/injured list at the end of the year with an eye on who might make the team for good (on the roster on a regular basis).

I think Demoine Adams has a decent shot next year, he was on the PR pretty well all year and got into one game. It seems to be a given Kinney and Boose are gone. The only problem is that Abdullah and Jeanty are ends and Adams would have to be a pass rushing end. Is Jeanty signed for this year?

Antonio Wilson is in the same boat, he will undoubtably challenge Gass for a spot (though I like Gass). Wilson might be too big in this league to be an outside guy like Mobes or Grant. I'd still like to see Grant move back into the secondary.

Between Cloman, Simmons and Gaylor I think we will have one new import receiver next year. Who will go though? Although he played well last year Mookie might be the odd man out. (One thing I loved about Mookie is that he not only contributed on offense he also made some huge special teams plays.)

I have no idea about McClendon at running back since we never saw him once. I assume he will be at camp next year.

I think that Robinson will be in tough to make it next year. Nowacki and perhaps the guy we drafted from U of Sask will make it tough for him.

They said they really liked McClaine on the O-line but Devin Roger was the one they dressed when they had to.

Here's an interesting take on this... any one of Cloman, Simmons or Gaylor would come a lot cheaper than even Winston October. I'm not saying Winnie should be gone, but ...

Also, before counting Mookie out I think we'll have to see who will actually be at TC next year.

    - "...turf toe is a common malady that is more of a nuisance than a serious injury."
    - "Turf toe can often progress into a chronic problem..."
    - "A mild instance of turf toe (grade 1) can be merely aggravating while a serious case (grade 3) can be debilitating."

I hope Mookie stays...he seems to be a nice guy, he always seems to be the one open in the end zone (he had what, 10 TD's this year but about 30 catches?), and like Beerfish said, he's good on ST's too...he ran back the CGY punter's fumble in the LD rematch, and I'll never forget his absolute rocking of McCallum.

Robinson might be in tough......Chad Rempel, the guy from USask, seems to be kinda injury-prone (he missed all of 2003 with injuries) but he played well...not overly spectacular, but well, very few mistakes and lots of good catches...in the 3 USask games I went to this year. He's something like 6'3'' and 215...has some size on him too, maybe we could turn him into a Clermont-like receiver.
We're cheering Fight Fight Fight On Eskimos...

OK, I will say it, Winston should pack it up and try somewhere new.

As a good friend of mine stated over Grey Cup in Ott this year, Edmonton is the only team in the league that you can feel comfortable going to get a beer from the fridge on a punt return.

        we need new blood.

I hope Mookie stays put and we have pretty much the same starting package as last year, with a healthy Terry Vaughn, we are in good shape.

Guy on esks.com from wherever McClendon went to school says he is the bomb, so maybe he will get a shot if Pringle hangs em up. I have also not seen him play, but who knows could be another surprise star in the making.

          You got that right.
I will not, for a moment longer, support an organization who chooses to cowardly kneel where they once fiercely & proudly stood

I'm pretty sure I've seen him run the ball a couple of times when he was with the Titans.....I think he could be a gooder.....I guess we shall see at TC this year....

from what I recall he was a bit of a slasher type with some size at 5'-9" 195 lbs he's not huge, but he's not tiny either.......I recall him being somewhat slight of frame, but pretty quick....Mobes could likely answer this much better if he saw any practice time against him......

just to compare against other tailbacks in the league:

                  Ronnie Jenkins - 5'-11" - 200lbs
                  Chuck Bob - 5'-6" - 172lbs
                  KK - 5'-1" - 195lbs
                  Antonio Warren - 5'-1" - 212lbs
                  Troy Davis - 5'-8" - 183lbs
                  John Avery - 5'-1" - 186lbs
                  Josh Ranek - 5'-8" - 205lbs
                  Autry Denson - 5'-1" - 199lbs

Either you meant 5'10" or there are some really, really, really short guys out there! ;-)

                        really short.........taken off the CFL.ca rosters.......they list 5'-1" as 5.01 up to 5.11

                        surprising huh?
