Esks' Maas and Spencer have surgery

The Edmonton Eskimos announced Friday that both quarterback Jason Maas and defensive lineman Randy Spencer have undergone surgery to repair shoulder injuries.
Surgeons repaired cartilage in Maas' right shoulder. Spencer underwent surgery on his right shoulder to repair cartilage and a partially torn rotator cuff.
"The procedures for both Jason and Randy went well and they're expected to make a complete recovery. They will begin rehab after Christmas with our training staff and be ready in time for training camp," said Eskimo head coach, Danny Maciocia.
Maas completed 65.8% of his passes in 2004, for 5088 yards, 35 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
Spencer had 22 tackles and six sacks for the Eskimos in 2004.
