Is there any 'connection' with being invited to camp and securing a player's rights?
Was Bass' name even on the draft list? If so, then I could see how bringing him in could secure that.
But with Jones I don't think he was on the draft list so his rights would still be open. And, IIRC, I thought that this was what TJ was planning to do... to go into the draft next year and let the chips fall where they may.Turf Toe:
