Game is on Ch.147 on Shaw digital...in Winnipeg anyway. Not sure if the numbers sync up across the country, but I would guess they do.

Let's see here....so far, NOT so good....

- Idiotic call of play action on the first play of the game.

- McLendon in ahead of McCarty.

- Total inability of the secondary to tackle (a hallmark of the Rick Campbell era - fundamentally unsound).

- Giving up the "out" route to the sideline at the first down marker on second and long.

Same BS we saw the last two weeks. Yes, it's only the first quarter and it's only 3-0, but I do not have a good feeling about this.

And yes, even with a loss, they're still 7-5, but I think Maciocia and Campbell should be turfed. Like, right away. The same problems that have been chronic issues with the scheme are still there. Improving the talent level has somewhat masked the issues, but the issues with the strategy remain.

How the hell does Montreal get that kind of pressure with a four man pass rush?

Simply unacceptable. So far, from what I've seen, the Esks are going to need to go 50/50 run/pass to win this game.

And that play to McLendon inside for 2-3 yards? Dumb. If you're going to run Goldie and have him be effective, you have to get him outside the tackles. Leave the smash-mouth to McCarty.

Ok, what's the constant between all of Reggie Durden, Omarr Morgan, Sanford Samuels, and Jordan Younger, all quality CFL DB's, looking terrible when playing in the Eskimos secondary?

Answer: the defensive scheme. There is fundamentally something wrong with what the Esks are doing back there.

I'll leave the commentary on that one to the experts.....cough*Diesel*cough.
