Some things the Esks have to do to get back on track...

    in my opinion.

    - If Harris is not ready then McCarty must start at RB. We can make better us of the other import on the o-line. I'm not mad at goldie but not playing McCarty because of special teams duty is moronic. Back RB's? Ciezky and Yao, hell the Riders had some no name Canuck RB make a couple of big plays for them last game.

    - McGrath is out of the lineup. Supposidely he is hurt and he sure has been playing like it. Garrick Jones and Armstrong at tackles or Kabongo at one tackle and move Armstrong back to guard.

    - Use Bertrand as a TE and even Bakker if necessary for max protection schemes. If you give Ray time he will find receivers, if he starts getting smacked especially early we instantly revert to dink and dunk.

    - Decide once and for all on defensive players. This is not training camp, quite with the nonsensical shuffling in and out of new players every game. Playing defense is all about being cohesive, even without injuires we pull guys out each game.

    - Shabazz has to go back to his best position, that being a hard hitting LB.

    - DB's must be more aggressive early in a game. We lay off too far and then may or may not make the tackle.

    - Have no pass plays under 10 yards in the play book except for the RB's. Sounds idiotic right? Perhaps but after almsot 3 years of watching drives stall because we throw 7 or 8 yard passes I'm fed up. If we are not going to get 10 at least take it closer to 9 than 7 so we can run on 2nd down.

    - Someone have a talk with Tristan Jackson, he is not even close to the returner he was the 1st half of the year.

The offence in still ecouraging to me though. (Save for the Montreal game)
The defence worries me. Perhaps we should look at bringing in Rich Stubler. Not sure if he can run a 4-3 defence though.
Save for the Montreal game. The big plays have been there on offence, running game or not.

Stubler will stay home and get paid by the Argos to do nothing.

It would be nice to get healthier and return players to their natural positions. As much as this game was there for the taking, I believe some of the injuries have been making an impact on the performance of the team.

Game plans and in-game coaching decisions remain my #1 complaint.

I'm okay with our defense. Get our guys back on the d-line who should have never been taken out, put Shabazz back at LB, and we'll be fine. We need consistency, you can't just shuffle guys in and out every week, communication is key. It's week 14 and these guys still haven't gelled. Goss and Younger are finally finding that communication that they need.

...and I disagree about Tristan. He gets us good field position, almost broke one, and every team focuses on him. I like what he is doing.
