    Ritchie = BC's Defensive Coordinator

    Sportsnet.ca -- Dave Ritchie hasn't even stepped on the B.C. practice field and he's already getting a promotion.

    According to the TEAM 1040 Vancouver, B.C. Lions defensive coordinator Paul Arslanian has left the team to pursue business interests in the USA, allowing Ritchie to assume the role. Ritchie was originally signed on as the defensive line coach.

    ? yet other media outlets still say he hasn't signed anywheres.

      Team 1040's a fairly reliable source, and this has been rumoured for a while, not much of a suprise here.

                Dave has excepted the DC job in B.C. Wally called him on Friday to offer him the job. He consulted us, his family, about what to do. Seeing he had put a down payment on a house in Ohio. We told him to walk away from the house and move back to B.C.
