    Ware and Rector

I would appreciate anyone's comments on how these two are doing.
Both come with what seems like pretty good credentials.
Also please comment on any of the other new receives and who may be standing out a bit more than the rest.

keep reading camp notes as they come in.....

Ware is nursing an injury already, and Rector had decent days yesterday and today....
Before you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you insult him, you'll be a mile away, and have his shoes.

If they're not mentioned, they're not standing out yet.....although the camp notes spoke highly of Thornton, whom they were talking about in the mold of a Kelly Campbell....I didn't see that myself yet though.

Just wondering where the camp notes are posted? The esks site seems to only give a brief overview...

The reports will probably become more detailed when main camp opens. This site from my experience gives the best camp reports around. Hopefully the sun will be doing blog reports as they did last year as well.

This is the best time of year for me on here! Read the reports by diesel and opus etc etc
              Just brilliant,

Then the season starts and all the happiness is split into opinions!

I am disappointed on the coverage of the league on the sports networks.
                Almost nothing to speak of.
Its hard to get news on the Esks here on Vancouver Island except for this site which I visit religiously........does anyone have any other suggestion where I can get info especially on the esks.
Esks.com is second rate compared to what I can get here.

Ware certainly sounds exciting but then again so did Taco Wallace until we saw him on the field. Regardless, I am excited about the upcoming season.

Sorry, in this case they are printed out on the handout with the roster at camp sessions.

Was down there today and Rector is definitely a guy you notice alot. Great speed and decent hands from what I saw.

I'm hoping they start doing more with that, they have yet to change the depth chart they hand out, even though it has been changing.

The Esks IT team has been far better this year than any other previous though.

Sheets are available online from the Esks site.

A couple of spots for snippets of information... not going to surpass what you get here as a compilation, but for those of us that are hungry for everything we can get our hands on...

http://www.esks.com/Team/2009Trainin...5/Default.aspx - a visual representation of who's left and who's gone, and also a link to their TC Blog - short updates, but essentially the daily notes that would be printed on the sheet you get in person.

http://www.tsn.ca/cfl/feature/?id=11505 - The TSN Hashmarks section is just a collection of some clippings from around the league, but lets you know other teams' movements as well and has a little commentary from time to time.

As for the receivers, through the first three days, at the top of my list of newcomers was Willie Thornton (great routes, good speed and catches just about everything), followed closely by Jason Barnes (tall, good hands and different dimension than what we have). Rector looked good too, while Ware hadn't seen enough of the field to make an impression either way for me. Alan Turner has been somewhat up and down, with flashes of brilliance, and then some drops. Efrem Hill didn't make a huge impression, and I thought Challenger had a real bounce-back from a shaky opening day.

It's always a challenge at this stage, in that you're never quite sure, on incompletions if it was a misread or errant throw from the QB or missed route on the receiver's part, but in the case of Thornton, I felt there were few times that I had to actually consider that as everything looked to be well in synch.
