    Esks Auctioning Off Lockers!

    How cool would it be to have one of these in your rec room? It's going to be a live auction that's after the Locker Room Sale. (how fitting) I'm all over this. Only question I would have is will they be auctioning off personalized nameplates as well? That would be money!

    That would be the ultimate "game used" item if you ask me.

    I saw this a couple of days ago... very interesting indeed! I'm pretty sure the lockers come with the nameplates - or at least with a 'pedigree'.

    After thinking how cool it would be to have one my next thought was... what the heck would I do with it?
    Turf Toe:

      Would be awesome to have.

      My question is - how are they going to do it?

      All (or most) of the lockers are in rows of three or four (or longer) - how are they going to divide them up?

      Unless they auction off three or four at a time...which would likely get real expensive real fast.

        Horizontally

        Unless they auction off three or four at a time...which would likely get real expensive real fast.

        MG basement will hold the lockers for visitation. He could use the lockers for his leather clothes.

          Diez and I talked about this on the weekend. For the cash the green helmets went for last year, we figured these will be real expensive, real fast but you never know.

            It would be neat to have, mostly just to say you have one (like seats from the old Yankee Stadium, or the Montreal Forumn).

              There is a guy here that has 2 seats from Yankee Stadium with a LOA asking $2500.

                Add these to the potential of them selling the seats out of Commonwealth when they replace them this year...and my Esks room will be almost complete!

                        Here is my idea for new seats. Make them electrically heated.

                        A typical car seat runs about 70watts. For calculation purposes, make the Commonwealth seat heater 100watts. Running for 3 hours @ 10 cents kw-hr works out to 3 cents a seat. Muliply that by average attendance of 40,000 seats gives a per game cost of $1200.

                        You can get a good heated car seat cover for $100. Let's say $500 installed. 62000 @ $500 makes it $31 million to retrofit Commonwealth.

                        Heated seats will eliminate the need for a domed stadium.

                        Cost to add roof to BC Place, $458 million. Subtract $31 million leaves $427 million. Use that for an inground heating system like Lambeau and you'll still have change left over.
