    Question About 70's Retro Jerseys

Saw the retro jerseys in a shop for the first time not long ago. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the "EE" supposed to be in the sleeve stripes?

Parkies covered this one earlier.....the EE wasn't added until the 80's it seems. This is supposed to be a 1975 replica, but as he also pointed out, in 75 there should only be 2 white stripes inside the gold, not 3.
Before you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you insult him, you'll be a mile away, and have his shoes.

Here are some photos to outline the difference:

          1979 uniform:

Two white stripes on the sleeve, no EE logo, helmets with grey facemasks

          1980 uniform:

Three white stripes on the sleeve with the EE logo, helmets with white facemasks

along with Upton, Howes, Potter and Highbaugh (and I didn't need to look it up!) - a sure sign of mis-spent adolescent years ...

Had to. It's a hell of a long time coming, but we finally get to see #55 on the Wall of Honour!

We had a hell of a team back in those days. So many outstanding all-stars never made it to the Wall or in the Hall.... the price you pay for playing on such stacked teams, I guess..?

so they're really more 80's retro than 70's retro. I'm okay with that. We were awesome in the 80's too.

Well, definitely nicer than last years. Hopefully we have better luck wearing these. Didn't we lose every game in last years retros?

Oh man, can't wait to see these in person. I forgot how much I missed the old style EE logo.

I've avoided the old jerseys up until now. But my dad was taking me to games when I just a little kid during the dynasty years (oddly enough, I got into the Oilers near the end of that, when the Oilers swept the Habs...how did I come to expect winning organizations?). I'm thinking maybe I should get a retro jersey with Wilkie's number...

The jersey looked great. The team....not so much.

Eskimos record in retro jersey games:

                              0-4
