    The next 5 games....

    Well, if we have any hope of doing anything at all this year we have to do something in the next 5 games against stiff competition. We have been counted out by most everyone but I actually think the Esks can win 3 out of the 5, yeah it'll shock a lot of people but I think the team will play better now that it is clear that Hall is firmly in charge. The Esks only have to turn around a couple plays a game to start getting some wins.

    I think we take 2 out of 3 against Calgary and I think we beat the Riders. Just cut out the really terrible plays and do your jobs and this team can still play with a lot of teams in this league.

      I agree. I'm not saying they will win all the games you say they likely will, but they're very capable. This team isn't deserving of a 1-5 record and they're playing a team that isn't deserving of a 5-1 record. The Esks may not win tomorrow but they are capable of pulling this one out, despite all the fans who have written them off. These fans haven't been around long enough to see it happen. I've seen teams pull out of a funk like this and teams that were so good in the first half of a season hit a tailspin. I remember the Als lose virtually all of their games in the last half of the season a few years ago. Sometimes all it takes is a couple of breaks to go your way, you gain confidence, you play better and you get the results.

        It's shaping up to be a battle amongst the Esks, Lions and Bombers for the crossover spot. If one of these underwhelming teams get their act together they can make it. If the Esks fail, I don't think Hall's going to be around next year.
        If we were put on this earth to help others, what were the others put on earth for?

          Eskimos at 130 (Worst offense)
          Guess which team has the defense thats allowed fewest points in CFL?
          Stamps at 127 (Best Defense)

            If they try to stick to the offensive formula of the first six games, this team will be 2-9 after the next five games.

              records mean squat..
              esks v stamps is a whole other ball game..

              i remember in 03 when mcgarity returned that punt and swerve got tossed for scrapping.,.. no way we should have lost that game.. but these games are never black and white..

              next 5 games, we have.. HAVE to be 4-7

                Untill I see something different from this team I think we will be really lucky to claw out even one win during these 5 games.

                    I'd be shocked as **** if that happened. They've been the most passive team I can remember - therefore I doubt that happens.

                      I say we go 1-4 in these next four games...and the game we DO win will be the Saskatchewan game. Don't know why but it's just a feeling I have.

                        I was thinking the same thing. So far this season we haven't shown the slightest bit of jam or killer instinct. If not for Travis Lulay, we'd easily be 0-6. I personally think Hank is gonna devour us tonight (something in the neighborhood of the 30-7 Labour Day drubbing from last year).

                            I think that would confuse me more than anything. They can do it but I have my doubts...

                              I like your thinking, the next two games against Calgary are "in the bag"..
