Where was Bryan Hall a year ago? He kept talking about how the Esks went bad years ago & that even he saw it going on. However, he was silent just like he accuses the Edmonton Eskimo Board of being. Not saying he's not right because he is... but...

All a bunch of hacks, they were the same with the Oilers. Dont rock the boat or we might not get an easy story without working too hard. Pratt and Taylor in Vancouver always said it the way they saw it and the great Mr Burke banned them from the building, but that didn't stop them. There is nobody like that in Edmonton.

As I said in the other thread, no revelation here. Just another media guy that will jump on the bandwagon once the GM is fired and he KNOWS things are going to get ripped apart. He was as big of an apologist over the last 4 years as anyone. Now Hallsy has a revelation about this. These guys always jump all over things like this only after the fact. Much like the Oilers house cleaning. Massive flip flops and sudden enlightenment's by the media when Joe dumb common fan has been saying the same thing for weeks, months, years.

Bryan has ripped people like Higgins, Nealon Greene, Bill Ranford, MacT after the fact before. This is after defending them to the hilt until they were gone.

That's about it. Hall has always been a shameless brown noser, and is only too happy to toss salads left and right to the powers that be... then the moment someone leaves town and is no longer under the Esks or Oilers umbrella he'll rant endlessly about how awful they were all along. He hasn't just suddenly found religion, he just knows this ship is going down and is trying to get off early.

WOW Hallsy let-er-rip..BUT gawddammit him and Dave Campbell sure were defending Machoka for the past few years, while I listened to the call in shows. For too long now, the Oilers and Eskimos have filtered and used censorship on the "official team" media outlets. Part of this changed when Bob Staufford was allowed to do Oilers Lunch on the TEAM 1260. He gets to rip the team if needed. I guess there has been a "fine-line" being politically correct when bashing a team you have media rights to.

As for Hall, I was more interested in what he said than on when he got around to saying it. Even though he's 177 years old, he's entitled to give his opinion and it was refreshing to hear him stray from the party line for once.

What an irascible, pompous ___hole!! For years he wouldn't say **it if his mouth was full of it while he was on the on-air voice of the team, and now that he's been forced out of that job, he lets loose on them. I don't disagree with what he is saying only that he didn't have the balls to say it a few years ago when things were unravelling then.

I'll bet a dollar that he doesn't get to read the words to the fight song anymore, not that it matters......

Good on Hallsy. He's finally free of having to tow the party line and let his true feelings show. Everything he said is 100% correct. IF ANYONE on the Eskimos, either in the front office or on the field showed that kind of emotion for the team, we would not be in the state we are. Hallsy for GM !! (just kidding)
