    How Bad are the Esks?

    The Esks are so bad that Calgary news and sports radio shows are opening off their broadcasts with Eskimo news!

    Doesn't surprise me at all. its a world of **** in Edmonton, and Calgary loves to revel in our pain. Not to mention The Esks where the envy of the league / flagship franchise for so long and now its completely ****ed up.. I'd say thats pretty big news

      More power to em, they should be revelling. We have revelled in the Riders and Stamps misery before. The city and the franchise and the some fans of Edmonton have gotten what they deserve.

        Sadly, most Stampeder or Roughrider fans I've talked to are not revelling at all.

        Worse, they feel pity.

                  Don't need no wheatie pity. We'd have to suck until the mullet comes back as cutting edge hair fashion for us to equal the ocean of suck that the riders produced for a few generations

                    I just don't understand how this organization let it get so bad? It seems to mirror what was going on with the other team in town. If firing DM made him accountable for his actions that doesnt do this team and fans any justice for current and future situation.

                        Well, if no one else will.....

                        The Edmonton Eskimos suck so bad....

                        That all opposing QBs incompletions end up on the Eskimo bench!

                        That they didn't bother getting a vacuum cleaner for the new locker room!

                        That the politically correct police are now happier if Eskimo ISN'T changed to Inuit!

                        The Bombers are 2 and 5 and still confident of a cross-over playoff spot!

                        Nanook is going back to the North!

                        Nik Lewis is thinking of wearing a stream-lined swim suit to the Labour Day game, since pads only protect you when you are tackled!

                        Eric Tillman is on the list of GM candidates!

                        Wayne Gretzky is on the list of GM candidates!

                        Braley is expecting to buy the team in the next 3-4 years!

                        Turnover ratio is used to explain negative numbers to Edmonton schoolkids!

                        Ok, that's all I got of the top of my head.... maybe more later....

                          I don't know why.....the Riders have nothing to feel pity over......they still average 33.3 years between Grey Cup wins......and only have 3 cups. We still have 13, and only average about 6 years between wins.

                          To me they should be pitying themselves not us.

                          Calgary is a slightly different bird.

                          Interesting that it was the Riders who moaned and bitched for a salary cap, and since a cap was put in place for them, they only years they've won they broke the salary cap rules.
