    Dickenson our next Head Coach?

    http://www.sportsnet.ca/football/cfl...15/lefko_hall/

Perry Lefko, who correctly predicted that Tillman would be our next GM, gives his thoughts on who Tillman will choose as his HC for next year. Hall doesn't make the list. His top 3 predictions are:

    Dave Dickenson

    Scott Milanovich

    Matt Dunigan

    Thoughts?

Dickenson or Dunigan would be great.
Maciocia, Hall, Strasser, Hairston and Thorpe are finally all gone. The rest will take care of itself.

Good luck Kavis Reed and the rest of the Esks' new coaching staff!

Dickinson is definitely in the mold of coach that he has hired in the past
no head coach experience - very intelligent

Personally, I would love to see Ritchie Hall back as head coach next season. Failing that, Matt Dunigan would be a good choice. Dunigan went through the debacle that was F Troop in Calgary, and managed to keep his sanity. That in itself speaks volumes. The last thing a rebuilding team needs in an inexperienced head coach, so I would pass on Dickinson.
The Riders used to be loveable losers. Now, thanks to some of their fans, they're just losers. :P

Don't know that Dunigan had the right experience. Dickinson has had some good training in Calgary. Would still want someone more experienced than that though.

I like dunnigan but I see him as a long shot. Of the three Milanovich would be very good. I'm not really sure where he came up with this list though. Seems really early to be thinking about this.

You mean Austin's Asst. Head Coach at Cornell and the guy who was the 'Riders' offensive coordinator in 2006?

Rotor, can you tell us why you think Tommy Condell is the choice?

In DD favor is the fact he has been mentored by the guy many of us wanted as the hc here.

I can't believe that Dickensen is ready to be a head coach. I also believe he is smart enough to know that if he takes on too much too soon, it could ruin his coaching career.

Next year, Dickensen becomes the offensive coordinator in Calgary.

Milanovich has done that job for a few years in Toronto. He'll be a head coach somewhere soon. Dunigan is a risky move as he made many brutal moves while in Calgary.

An even better pick would be George Cortez, but he'd need a pretty sweet package to bring him back from the NFL. I think he'd want a head coach/GM position like Buono and Huf have. He'll not get that here.

just my personal guess - plenty of experience in the CFL as a co-ordinator highly intelligent - Worked with Tillman briefly and now Kent Austin's OC at Cornell

next likely to me Doug Nussmaier - a name that got serious attention by ET for the Sask Job but was not available at the time

DD's way too green right now, he's doing great with the O but he's getting a lot of help from Huf.

You seem to forget he was dealing with F Troop, neither of whom will remind anyone of Vince Lombardi or George Halas.

Would much rather see Chris Jones.
