Life is back to normal for Esksfans

After 2 wins and this board being fairly quiet life has returned to normal for the members. Everyone can go back to b*tching and complaining about the Eskimos. Whew! what a relief. What would we do for entertainment if the Eskimos had a winning team? Or even an entertaining competitive team? I think over the past few seasons that we now subconsciously hope for a loss so we can continue to be the keyboard managers and coaches of the team. However I do enjoy reading these posts. Crazy eh!

Bitterness is a sad and wasteful emotion.
If we were put on this earth to help others, what were the others put on earth for?

I still have the bitter taste of the Tillman wars on this board. So much was said about something nobody here had any control of.

I just keep coming back because of the CFL Pool.

It's been a rough 4 or 5 years for fans off the EEFC, so you're going to get people venting when they are frustrated -- that's just human nature. As well, people are more likely to be off celebrating with friends in person after a happy occasion, and more likely to be left alone when they're steaming mad about how poorly we have played, how we were screwed by the refs, etc, etc, etc.

That being said, you've been a fan of the team since 1954 your sig says -- speaking for myself, I'd love to hear stories about YOUR experiences with the team. If you want happier stories, stick with those (so likely we won't hear much about your time following the team in the 1960s ), but by all means start up some threads that we can all learn something about the team or you as a fan.

Nope, I hope we will continue to lose this year so that there is no chance in the world of the management thinking that this team needs anything other than a total overhaul. If the organization had acted on the terrible management of this team 2-3 years ago like they should have we may be back on the upswing right now. Instead people were content with being a .500 team or making the cross over or being lousy but having a good 'core'.

Much like the Oilers, this team has been dragged kicking and screaming into a total redo of the team. Only when both teams had reached 'debacle' status are moves being made that should have been made 3 or more years ago. Fans are ticked at what the team has become, at the terrible front office direction on a number of issues and the slim possibility that a few late season wins will gloss over the total suckage of the team.

If you expect people on this forum to applaude the team getting asses kicked in a near last hope game against an okay but not great Hamilton team it is not going to happen. Team trust is like a bank account, a team adds to the account by doing smart things that should be supported. A team takes money out of the account when they do dumb things and get bad results. The Esks account is in overdraft. Once they start adding to the account they can expect a better attitude from the fans.

Many of us have been here back when we were winning cups and dominating the standings.
