Standnyk - another Rider cast-off. Interesting. Geez we're starting to look like the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the far west. I wonder why that is? Probably just a coincidence, eh?

One thing is for sure - Tillman has no qualms about spending money, breaking the bank, exceeding the cap and/or paying the fine and forfeiting the draft choice(s). Let the good times roll!

Well I guess we have funds to spend?
Our 9 game is quite the novel and tbf before et was even here, there were tons of people on here ( myself included ) saying damn the cap, the cup is in Edmonton... Now were worried about being over????

Forfeiting a draft choice would really hurt. Our starting Cdn content must be improved and it would be a real shame to lose a # 1 or 2 for being over the SMS. On the other hand ET is getting the players Richie wanted[Armstrong - Joseph]. He seems to be giving Hall every chance to show he can run this team. A little hard to understand the Stadnyk move though. I had heard that because he was a local boy the Roughies gave him much more of a chance at winning a spot and he still did not show enough to catch on there.

To be fair, Etcheverry is selecting very specific player types for his defense. And he hasn't exactly run a tight defense in Riderville this year.

have we actually violated any cap yet??
i`d be interested to see ( not like we will ) if we are in fact over..
we have 11 listed on the 9 game.. id say 8 of those are prob serious injuries plus parquet to go on?
i dunno how much money that frees up.. but our PR has 11 on right now, i`m not sure if it will be 13 or 14 ( will afif go right on the 46 to replace parquet? ) when all is said and done.. i thought the roster limit was 13 on the PR?

if were not breaking any rules.. and ( i honestly down know how the money situation works.. with 9 gamers , 1 gamers etc ) if by any we will actually end up over the mark...

PR roster limit is expanded right now from 7 to 12. I believe it is only in effect for 30 days though IIRC.

1 game IR counts against the cap, so this is where you run the very fine line of who is cheating by breaking roster limits and who is cheating by being over the cap to fill depth.

Just to add, that with these and the Joseph signing the Eskimos roster is now bloated to 74.
