While you never want to see good people moving on, it had puzzled me last year when he was retained. Tillman doesn't strike me as a guy that spreads around a lot of his duties, and with one of the criticisms being our drafting and NI talent, I thought McKinnon would be the natural fall-guy with Hervey staying around as part of the management team.

Want to wish Dan the best of luck wherever he ends up.

Oh, well if he somehow grandfathered in then it's not that surprising. GM's generally like to have their own guys in those spots, so anyone that carry's over is usually on borrowed time.

Yes, he's from Montreal and really cut his teeth coaching there coming up the Canadian ranks. While they might not be thought of as "pedigree" coaches, I really like seeing guys like him pay their dues and carve out careers for themselves doing what they love.

He must have been on the Grassy Knoll and Sonic just found out about it.

Long over due. He may have been a great guy but he was part of the Macicoia regime and was responsible for the canadian draft for a number of years. Should have been gone last year.

What has he done that would qualify him as a good football man? Oh yeah, I just about forgot, and I may stand corrected, but I think he was the guy who convinced Maciocia to draft Warren Kean. Good football man my arse.

He came to Edmonton as a WR coach with DM, personal dispute led to MacKinnon being moved up to the office as Canadian scout. I think he lasted as long in his position in the same way Danny M did: nobody above him knew any better.
