    Tillman fables...

Taman: "No, I didn't pay Brendon LaBatte that money. We matched Winnipeg's offer (170K per year) and we ended up getting him because he wanted to play at home. The $200,000 figure is ludicrous.
I choose to believe Taman, not sure why but I do LOL !

We all know why you believe Taman. Because you want to hate Tillman.

And as for that comment, its fricken ridiculous to say that 200k is ludicrous when your paying 170k. It isn't that big of a difference
    New coach, different results?

Really ? You must be independently wealthy
170k is spot on for an all star guard and below a top notch tackle.

funny how the 200k was mentioned by many reporters before ET opened his trap..

              200k Labatte
              100k+ for Picard
and your gm thinks you'll land Fantuz at/near 200k? Where's all the whiners about the "cap abuse" the Esks did a long time ago ?

An Alouettes fan who lives in the Maritimes (correct me if I am wrong on that HFXTC)?

What exactly would be his motivation for "wanting to hate" Tillman?

You ever think that maybe people outside can see things for what they are as well? You ever think that maybe it's just you trying to defend someone that blinds you to what others see?
Before you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you insult him, you'll be a mile away, and have his shoes.

Don't blame you, you can never take the words of an egoholic as fact.

$170K is still a lot, but given the market and LaBatte's resume it's probably about right.
Look. We can go round and round about this all the live long day. Let's keep it simple. I embody amazement. Can you dig on that? Good. Then meet me on the corner of rock and roll, and bring a flask of something that burns.

A little less than what Fantuz is going to be making ($180 k base) which I think is about right.

No question Taman is paying a premium for these guys but when you think about it, next year with the dispersal draft, teams can only protect seven non imports. So it might make sense to get the 7 best you possibly can and not be overly concerned about spending on your depth Canadians, because you are likely too lose your 8th. and 9th.

Instead of spending stockpilling Canadians he's focusing on his top seven and willing to have lesser quality in his depth.

In regards to Tillman I don't hate him. I just see him for what he is.

Yeah teams have gone in very different routes using their money. It will be interesting to see how it all works out when season opens up.

That's actually an excellent hypothesis, and makes a ton of sense.

*Yeah, I thought I remembered you sporting an Al's avy back in the day over at 13thman. Appreciate your contributions here, and glad to have ya!
