    Esks add two more

One a former Rider....(I know, shOcking)

    72 + 2 more = 74 on the roster.

Whoo Hooo. If youre going to bust those roster limits, you may as well take a dump on em while you're at it.

Sorry I couldn't post the details...posting from my phone and all.

        Here are the details: http://www.esks.com/article/esks-add-depth-to-defence

(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimos have signed import defensive tackle Kade Weston and import linebacker Kye Stewart.

        Kade Weston
        #75
        Defensive Tackle (import)
        Georgia
        Height: 6’5
        Weight: 320
Born: Nov. 29, 1986 – Arima, Trinidad and Tobago

Weston comes to the Eskimos after spending time with the Pittsburgh Steelers. In 2010, he was drafted by the New England Patriots in the seventh round (248th overall) of the NFL Draft. The following year, he was added to the practice roster of the Indianapolis Colts. Weston played college football at the University of Georgia with Eskimo defensive end Marcus Howard. There, he played in 48 career games, recoding 78 tackles and two sacks. He was also named to the All-SEC third team in 2009.

Eskimo General Manger Eric Tillman says “Kade gives us a physical dimension on inside that we believe will be beneficial to our defence.”

        Kye Stewart
        #46
        Linebacker (import)
        Illinois State
        Height: 5’11
        Weight: 218
        Born: Feb. 17, 1985 – Nashville, Tennessee

Stewart signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders as an undrafted free agent in 2009. He played 34 career games with the green and white, recording 93 total tackles, two forced fumbles, two tackles for loss and one interception. The Tennessee native played college football at Illinois State where he recorded 126 tackles, which ranked second in the Gateway Football Conference, and 11 tackles for loss in his senior year.

Tillman says “Kye is an experienced linebacker in our league with the ability to play inside and out. In addition, he brings special teams value as evidenced by the fact he finished fourth in the CFL in special teams tackles in 2011.”

Weston is a big boy! NFL sized DT.
Stewart's signing maybe indicates that Sherritt will be recouperating?

Looks like a run stopping space eater capable of playing on the nose I actually like this pick up, this is the kind of guy that can occupy a double team and free up faster rushers.

The patriots had this guy as a defensive end? He is over 300 pounds... if you are wondering, a 5 tech is a DE in the NFL... no wonder he did not make it there, should of left him in the middle.
