    TC / Day 4

    Here ya go for all you rep stingy folks j/k


    Walking wounded: Glen Carson took part in a light workout w/o pads. Posteraro was kicking again (non impressive, he nor Brewer but Brewer has finally found the middle of the uprights at least. Wad was absent (work?) Lewis-WR, Zardo, and Thompson-OL all sat out as well. Jacoby Shepherd took part in many of the no pad drills today for the first time


    Wiltshire - showed no ill effects from being dinged up yesterday and made a nice INT on KJ.

    Nowacki - saw lots of balls today and made some nice solid catches. IMO, his best session so far as I didn't notice him drop anything.

    Maas - had the pads on and was throwing quite well and on target. I'd say he was probably at 85-90% velocity.

    Ray - business as usual

    Johnson - probably has the second strongest arm and was making some nice crisp throws including threading the sideline needle between two defenders (Brady and Sanchez I think) to Rob LeBlanc

    Jones - looked more comfortable with the offence today. Made quicker decisions and had good velocity. Made only 1 bad mistake in Wiltshire's INT.

    AJ & Mobes - took their game up a notch today, they seemed to be swarming everywhere.

    Demoine Adams - IMO was the best Dlineman today. He is so quick off the edge. The only concern is when he get's engaged with Beaton or Kabongo, he struggles to get around them.

    Cedric Scott DT- had nice penetration working on O'Neil and Annunziata. He elevated himself above Blair, with Alston taking his game up a bit as well. Blair has yet to knock anyone's socks off, IMO

    Steven Marsh - was looking a bit more comfortable and just about blew LeBlanc out of his shoes with a nice hit over the middle. LeBlanc held on tho.

    Fleiszer got into a good shoving match with Dubuc and they had to be separated. Tensions are starting to wear thin as predicted. Noticed a lot of extra small shoves and pokes.

    Lamar was also recovered from his shake up yesterday but I didn't notice anything spectacular from him.

    Sanchez had a so-so session

    Swerve had super glue on his hands today, didn't see any misses in scrimmage

    Mookie and Cloman were so-so as well. At times each made some nice catches and at others they were hard to find

    Franklin - DB had an ok session but I did see him get beat a few times by Tucker, once for a long one.

    McClendon and Joseph stood out today amongst the RB's. McClendon made several nice full speed cuts at the point of attack to free himself up. Joseph has the attitude that if the hole ain't quite there, put your head down and widen it. He does have decent speed but it was nice to see he knows when to use his power and try and go through someone rather than around them. He still has the ability to also be elusive to bring down.

    Spotted: Tom Richards and Mike McLean

    O vs D controlled scrimmage - The O came out quite strong with KJ and JJ running the show today (RR/JM observed mainly although they got some reps in) but as the session wore on the D came back strong to take over the momentum

    Away tomorrow and possibly friday so you'll have to get your fix from another source

          Wad must be LHAO. They brought in two to challenge him and he feels so threatened that he takes the day off.

          It sounds like AJ is going to stick around again.

            To me, AJ looks like he's going out there knowing he has the confidence of the coaches behind him. That hasn't been there the past two years. It remains to be seen if he holds his starter spot but he's been doing well.

              Just throwing out my impressions from camp so far, from what I've read, seen, & heard:
              Offense: Sounds like all systems are a go, once they figure out how to maximize some guys. I'm very excited by the Joseph/McClendon RB combo, as two totally different runners with alot of talent beats what was here last year 10-fold. The QB situation was strong to begin with, but I think Johnson is starting to prove to people his arm strength and some reps behind the first team could turn him into a very underrated asset. It also seems as though Dubuc could be a very dangerous weapon (if utilized properly) & that LeBlanc seems to be outperforming our other Canadian guys (which leads me to wonder if he can switch positions)!

              Defence: Nice to hear Montford is taking control of the line like a vet should - with any luck, it is rubbing off on Jeanty, who should have a big year as a result of Monty's presence. Adams seems to be stepping forward as well, & Lamar is an all-star caliber talent (when motivated to be). The LB core looks solid, but the real interesting stuff seems to be going on in the backfield. I've heard nothing but good about Craver & Wiltshire is better than many give him credit for - but the whole "D" group seems to be accenting speed, which is even more exciting as they play an attacking style and not the "bend but don't break" we all saw last year!

                Great report, sounds like nerves are starting to fray with your comments about the pushing and shoving or near scrap. Can't wait for the first exhibition game. My car has been in the shop the last two days but if I get it back today like I should (I better get it back today) then I can probably catch camp tommorrow.

                  Sweet, sounds like things are heating up a bit now, guys are getting on eachothers nerves, so thats a good thing to get theese guys fired up to perform.

                  Jeanty was on totalsports last night, and specter was asking him what advice and pointers Montford could give to him and RJ said Monty told him some tricks, like RJ said he was trained in college to go allout everyplay, and said that montford told him to be smart, and kinda trick n juke guys out..

                  cause wit Jeanty's speed he can fool some guys with his deception. So thats huge with his leadership man that cant be overlooked, cause wit a vet like monty, he knows almost everything there is in this game, and can pass all that knowledge and good stuff down to our younger guys

                    throws some change ups , good smarts to change the speed of your rush. You come hard every play the O-Lineman can get rythym on your speed and time his blocks accordingly. If you ease back on a few inside moves, you might catch him with a speed move and blow by him on the outside the next play.....conversely you could then start that quick outside move and hold-up to move inside while he's on his heels.

                              its good to see these guys show well at TC.. but the real test will be the Preseason games...and I cant wait
