    Is Higgins afraid of Pringle?

I'm sorry I couldn't find a fancier way to phrase that but I have to wonder...if you've pulled Maas for Hendricks why not pull Pringle for Bradley, Lezi, or Bertrand????

I realize Bertrand is a converted Qb, but I've only seen guy in one play...
Bradley sees special teams work but I'm yet to see him in the backfield...
Lezi I saw get one rush and get stuffed...haven't seen him since...

I am not a Pringle basher...but why oh why doesn't Higgins put one of the three other guys into the backfield once in a while...they don't actually have to touch the ball but letting Pringle see a play on the sidelines wouldn't be the end of the world. Or, stay with me on this it's a radical idea...put someone in the backfield with Pringle and then pass the ball

I mean when Brock Ralph is the game that means one of the Fab Four is being spelled...but why always Brock Ralph(not a knock on the guy, he's looked good)...why not go with some 2 back formations since the run game is apparantly so frickin important to Higgins/Macicoca(sp?)

Brock Ralph needs to look at the 1st down marker and run one yard past it instead of stopping one yard in front of it.

Not true. The Esks often run the five receiver set with Ralph as the fifth receiver.

Pringle is your guy, leave him in there. The esks don't have anyone for a RB that could seriously push Pringle right now, so taking him out in favour of an inferior back would backfire.

I bet White could beat out Pringle, when healthy.

Pringle isn't getting the job done this year. 28 yards on 10 carries vs. Ottawa, 36 yards on 10 carries vs. BC, 6 yards on 5 carries vs. Montreal = 2.8 yard average.

Pringle isn't producing. If you don't produce, you shouldn't get to be the guy.

I'd like to see Mike Bradley start vs. BC and see if the problem is our O-line, or Pringle. If Bradley gets 100 yards on 10 carries, then it might be time to make a change.

Trust me the Oline has been putting all it's efforts into shoring up the pass protection and they have improved a bit. Once they get the pass pro sorted out, you'll see a shift to the ground game.

but why the f*** not give some different looks...why must the Esk offence limit themselves to only a handful of formations I mean for all the krap we had to deal with last year about the 2QB system...is he afraid Pringle will develop a complex if Bradley gets 1 rush a game??? I'm not saying drastic changes, I'm not saying someone is better than Pringle, I'm just saying BE CREATIVE

i've edited my original post...I had Blake Marshall on my brain

I agree. Our offence lacks some serious imagination. Small things like a pump fake or direct snap makes it tough on the defence. One of the reasons Ottawa was so successful...

Higgins has no imagination.. I'm sure maccoia (sp?) has mentioned such plays but Higgins will always play it conservitively

That's all I'm saying...nothing as drastic as putting Bertrand in the backfield and getting him to toss a bomb...but let Bradley touch the ball, give a couple 2 back formations and then throw the ball 15-20 yards downfield. I said this before but it was even nice to see them actually use Pringle as a receiver out of backfield more than the standard once a half.

Won't happen. Higgins has said he doesn't like trick plays. The other coaches had to practically beg him to put in some punt fakes last year mainly so that other teams would actually have to consider that we have one in our repertoire.
