Robinson and Jones released....

According to Bryan Hall on the radio the only two guys officially released so far are Robinson and Jones, sounds like they are still talking to players about practice roster spots and injured list and such. Macioica has submitted the 40 man roster though.

Well Robinson isn't suprising because the eskies have a way better Canadian ratio plus Gaylor and Kelley and looked good but Scotty is a good guy all the best. Khari is a little suprising just for the fact u might have been able to get some good trade brait later on but I like JJ's potential

I will say this..

If Scott is being released then I will be very curious to see who is being kept on the defensive side of the ball non-import wise..


Scott is a very good special teams player and one of the best run blocking receivers in the league.

Scott will be on another roster within the next 48 hours.

Yeah, Robinson's a tough cut.
I think we should've kept him over LeBlanc, unless both were cut. Nowacki's shown really well though, don't think he was going anywhere. And if Ralph comes back later in the year, we'd have an awful lot of NI receivers.

I hope he catches on with someone else...all the best, Scott.

I incorrectly thought he was left behind in Edmonton as the coaches had already decided he was staying on the team and wanted to take a closer look at the others.

I don't feel any rookie came in here and stole his job.

Nowacki made two catches for 23 yards. 11.5 yards per catch.

Robinson made three catches for 24 yards. 8 yards per catch.

I think Nowacki (if he made the team) made it on size alone. I don't feel these numbers alone warranted him to steal a proven veterans spot.

LeBlanc had a good camp he was quite polished for a such a young guy out of college. If the Esks decided to keep an extra import reciever (Kelley and Gaylor) plus Nowacki it's tough to keep yet another canuck receiver.

I was listning to 630ched, and they said this Scott Robinson cut may because the Eskimos think that Brock Ralph may be comming back to the CFL.

taking this thread in a little different direction...if Khari is gone, should it be taken as a clue that JM and RR closer to 100% than expected??
