    Once again Fleming brain cramps

Damn he pisses me off when he does that!

There are no replies to this thread yet because Matt Kellett kept Fleming from becoming the goat. Thanks for the miss Matt!! Must have brought back great memories from last year.

And secondly, we let Terry Vaughn run around in the end zone to take the safety, preventing Fleming from trying a high-pressure punt.

I for one am glad that we're not talking about Fleming after that game, because we sure as hell could have been, and that miss almost lost us the game.

Matt Kellett for player of the game!!

Tell me, if it was the GC game with the Esks down with 2 points with 3 seconds to go.. would you feel comfortable with Fleming lining up for a 47 yard FG for the win?
i totally would! this guy has made the only big kick to win a game we have needed this year. his past speaks for itself( except bc in 2000). hes clutch when it counts!

Fleming went through a long slump after coming back from the NFL. He is good and for the last two years has been one of the best. I have faith in him, he kicked a long kick against the Argos to win. I have complete faith in Fleming.

I don't have a huge problem with Fleming other than his odd lapse of concentration. What I would like to see is the Esks bringing in some competition at camp as all veterans benefit from someone trying to take their job.

What I'm worried about is him getting injured. Last THREE years he has had some kind of injury hampering him. I just hope he can stay healthy this year.

He only gets injured when he thinks he's AJ Friggin Gass and tries to tackle or block. He's trying to get a spot on Walby's warriors.

Just kick. That's what we pay you for. How do you think Bob Cameron stuck around so long?

I don't know how someone could want either Westwood and escpecially Kellett ahead of Fleming. Both those guys miss far more pressure kicks then Fleming. Westwood did have the clutch 55 yarder but I mean look at his game against Calgary. He was horrible kicking and punting that day. And his shanks were WITH the wind. Give me Fleming anyday.

The problem with kicking is that its harder than it looks. How many guys have you seen win the television in the kicking contest? I've seen no winners in all the games I've been to.

I think Fleming is good enough. He had a pretty good streak going there a couple of years ago. I have faith.

That was a bad miss against Montreal but otherwise I have total faith in him. I am surprised when he misses a kick. Maybe Head and Tynes are better but they have not proven themselves over a long period of time. Fleming has.
Taylor Field. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious.

Everytime Fleming lines up for a 40+ yarder I feel that he's going to miss it, and now recently I'm not comfortable with him making these chip shots. Maybe it's just me but I would really like to see someone like Tynes in an Esks uniform.
I felt that way 2 or 3 years ago. He has become solid again. Fleming kicked the Game Winning FG's in West Final 92,96. He has kicked some clutch kicks lately as well. The problem with Fleming was within his head. Fleming is like any other kicker, sometimes they are good and som, etimes they are bad. remeber Tynes when he was here? He went 0/2 or 0/3. Fleming his 2 most important kicks this year. Against Saskatchewan, and Toronto.

I disagree with you. I hardly think he is clutch.. especially when it counts. I don't know how you could feel comfortable with Fleming coming through with a GC winning kick. Head or Tynes would make it easy but Fleming would probably shank it. I hope next year at camp someone seriously challenges him for the spot.

And didn't Fleming just recently sign a 4 or 3 year contract with the Esks a couple months ago?

flemingds has been a clutch kicker since he has been here! took us to the cup in 93 and 96 kicked 6 fg in 93 gc, won the game in to this year, kicked a huge fg against sask to tie the season series, hes kicking as well as he has in years right now. if it came down to a flem fg for the gc, i wouldnt even make him kick it. its automatic baby!

Hey, it is too bad that the trade deadline has past, because as a ticat fan I would sacrifice Ozzy for Fleming.

i like fleming as long as he stays healthy. i don't like kellett cause he has problems in his head. tynes is good but hes new and who knows how he does under pressure. we at least know fleming can make the big kick.
