Perhaps this is why the Esks running game is failing?

It came to my attention on friday, but for some reason I forgot to post it here.

When the Esks have a running play lined up, Maas is right behind the center, Tim Prinsen.

When the Esks are going to pass, Maas is in a shotgun formation.

Maybe the teams have caught up to this?

I haven't studied it with that much precision, but that's probably true.

As many of us have said, the offence lacks imagination and is even obvious at times.

Remember a few years back when Don Matthews said that he could tell what Ricky Ray was going to do before the play even started?

    Edit: tagged ya!

        Didn't help him last year.

I am really hoping Prinsen doesn't do his obligatory 2 or 3 long snaps right at the toes of the QB this week.

Eventually, Ricky got the better of Don!

They hand off out of the shotgun, and they pass out of the regular snap.
Taylor Field. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious.

That turned out to be true. It wasn't really Ricky's fault though...

They looked at how Avery lined up. When he lined up six yards behind the line of scrimmage it was a running play. When he lined up eight yards behind, it was a passing play. Or the other way around, I don't quite remember.

                  Rookie mistake by Maciocia.

Don's ability to pick out the smallest things on the field and exploit them is amazing at times.
