    Ralph's Return Underwhelming

Right then. Am I the only one who thought that Brock Ralph performed less than stellar this afternoon? Dropped a few passes, wasn't open often, etc. Meanwhile his borther puts on a show.

Lablanc at the very least made those 2nd down catches.

Tucker as well seemed invisable, put he got the job done when he did get the ball.

While the playcalling wasn't the best, it was nerve-racking watching some of those passes get dropped in the second half while the Stamps started creeping back.

Ray gets pressured, several recievers have an off day and people blame the QB.

I never blamed Ray.. but Maas should've been put in. Ray made quite a few bad throws, and bad reads.. I;m a big backer of his.. but he had a bad game.

You and I both know the Esks were lucky to escape with the win.

The offense's second half output made them lucky to win. Our D had nothing to do with luck. I have yet to worry about the outcome of a game when they are on the field.

Yeah, let's replace the starter, who's been playing ALL year, with a guy who is cold, and hasn't tossed a ball in one meaningful game all year, never mind the LD classic.

When your starter isn't doing anything in the 3rd Quarter.. it doesn't hurt to mix it up a bit.

            It would be a gamble.

I understand your frustration at times with the QB, but remember, it takes a team to get a win in football.

Jenkins and Ralph will get better. Especially after a couple home games in a familiar environment.

Maas is not significantly different than Ray. If we had a experienced scrambler then maybe it is ok to put him in for a play or two to mix things up. I can understand why RR is in in a close game though. Give it up Maas lovers, he will never play unless RR is injured or we are 30 pts up with 5 minutes left.

Brett had a good game for Calgary for sure. Brock will get better dont worry about that. I just hope it wont be Friday.

how much can you expect of Brock when he just came into camp, sure he's in good shape, but he has to learn to the plays better, he will get better in the following weeks

Yes, its starting to look like Brett is every bit as talented as big brother--perhaps more so. Brett certainly looks like a steal as a fifth round draft pick.

Once again, don't get me wrong.. I am a huge RR backer, just ask Angelus and Sandy...

Sometimes all a QB like Ray needs to do though is sit back and watch for a couple series so he can see what he needs to do to move the offence, that's all.

Brock even dropped a TON of passes during the warm-up with no defenders. Looked pretty pathetic if you ask me.....
I officially retract my vote for DDS as Prime Minister. He's clearly incompetent.

Leblance was only used twice in the last game. Both noticeable passes.

Well look first of all look at the receivers we have and what Calgary does and Ralph just got back its still going to take time for Ralph and Ray to develop chemistry so they will come along Ill say this Brett Ralph has some great hands and skills as well and him Burris seem to be insinc quite well to start the season.

I believe next week Edmonton will put on a show offensively we seem to pound the crap out of them on the Friday's and I think we will next week
I love me some Packers and Eskimos

IIRC Brock was only thrown to twice. The first was a little high, but a catch he should have made nonetheless. The second was a completed pass.

                              Am I forgetting any??
