    Did this actually happen??

    Just curious.....

"The Edmonton mascot had a wheelbarrow filled with "manure" and had a placard saying "for McCallums driveway" and placed it beside the practice net of McCallum's. I found that to be extremely tasteless!!! Soon a nonplayer on the sideline went and knocked the sign over. But the mascot puts it up again. Then McCallum comes over and dumps the wheelbarrow. Enough – right. But Nooooo…..The mascot shovels it back into the wheelbarrow and puts up the sign. I’m getting very ticked off. A while later another non player goes over and smashes the sign and throws it into garbage can. Message Loud and Clear!! But Noooooo… The Esks come up with another sign."

Just curious if this incident did in fact happen?

        1. Sign fell over by itself

        2. Rider Players were laughing.

        3. Rider Coaches were laughing

        4. Paul McCallum was laughing.

        Give it a rest already.

Don't need another sore loser whining thread. Locked
I will not, for a moment longer, support an organization who chooses to cowardly kneel where they once fiercely & proudly stood

Besides... isn't imitation the greatest form of Flattery? The Mascot was only doing what the Riders' fans themselves had done.

Wpg vs. Sask. Westwood makes the Banjo comment. Riders get ticked. Wpg does a ' '. Event is seen as humorous by everyone else... becomes the 'banjo bowl' complete with 'sponsorship'!

Does it seem that Rider fans are a tad sensitive to certain matters?

IMO, the Rider Nation as the self-professed 'best CFL fans in the country' needs to realize that when you make claims to be at the very top you open yourself up for others to take shots at you. They seem to think that they should get the accolades with no challenge... that everyone should just accept them - and by extension their team - as the 'top of the heap'.

What they don't seem to realize is that only with a good dose of humility those challenges will always be there and the accolades won't.

Way, way back when it was easy for me to switch my allegiance to Sask if Edm got beat out. The rule was simple... ABC. Anyone But Calgary. But then something happened. Where there had been once humility, there came a sense that the riders and their fans weren't getting their due. Gone was the legitimate joy of overcoming the odds and winning... replaced by a 'we are owed' attitude.

Sadly, so many of the very vocal Rider fans fall into this category - And I realize that this is really not true for all of the very good natured and friendly Rider fans - of which there are many! It's just that more often than not these days the 'good ones' are getting drowned out.
              Turf Toe:
              - "...turf toe is a common malady that is more of a nuisance than a serious injury."
              - "Turf toe can often progress into a chronic problem..."
              - "A mild instance of turf toe (grade 1) can be merely aggravating while a serious case (grade 3) can be debilitating."
