    Weather Watch Issued

    Environment Canada's Official Weather Warnings
    Watches
    City of Calgary
    Winter storm watch for
    City of Calgary issued

The potential for severe winter weather exists over these regions.

A low pressure system will move into southern Alberta by late Sunday afternoon. Strong winds and periods of snow will lower visibility in the Crowsnest Pass as this system passes over the region. By Sunday evening a band of snow will extend from the Medicine Hat Cypress Hills Coronation regions to Calgary and along the qe2 highway to Red Deer. This snow has the potential to produce slippery conditions on the roadways while snow combined with strong northwesterly winds can lower visibility. A winter storm watch is an alert of the potential development of severe winter weather. Persons in or near these areas should be prepared for developing adverse weather conditions and should listen for updated watches and possible warnings.

    Strong winds, periods of snow....

The battle of the trenches becomes that much bigger.

If things happen as forcasted, sounds like maybe that the weather will be less of a factor earlier in the game. An early lead might go a long way.

    Re: Weather Watch Issued

Sounds like the wind is moving around from southwest (20 gusting 40) to northwest (30 gusting 50) during the game - I think the west stands at McMahon should block most of that, at least at field level (Esks section (far northeast row 40's) might get a little cold, though ). Oh well. Just means we gotta cheer harder to stay warm.

Environment Canada says cloudy with sunny periods, periods of snow beginning late in the day (2 cm), high +2.

I'm not too worried about the storm watch - if it was a warning, it might be cause for concern, but I don't think anything too severe will happen.

This kind of weather could actually be beneficial to a ball control offence.
I officially retract my vote for DDS as Prime Minister. He's clearly incompetent.

              Agreed.
As long as they're willing to gut it out on the ground. I want to see the Davis get 25 carries.

Ball control works if you do manage to score points. So both teams are potentially going to be playing high risk offense early on.

We're missing the bigger issue here, thats the REALLY big storm moving down from the south, the EDMONTON ESKIMOS, coming to take the wsf by storm.

Look. We can go round and round about this all the live long day. Let's keep it simple. I embody amazement. Can you dig on that? Good. Then meet me on the corner of rock and roll, and bring a flask of something that burns.

yeah, with all the dome games this year i was afraid we wouldn't see any snow at a game this year. I'm kindda hoping it does snow for the esks ball control offense. it will also somewhat help the D prevent the big play.
