    'Nuff Sed!

"If your boy asked for an Eskimos' No. 12 jersey, then it's probably a sign that you are raising him right."

    What he said!

I'd buy him 2, one for home games and one for away games.

Good ol' Tom Wilkinson... why isn't his number retired, btw?

          The Eskimos don't retire numbers.

His name is on the wall.

Didn't realize that at all. As a Rider fan, I couldn't stomach another player wearing 34 or 23 but to each team their own traditions.

Back to the original topic, good on the young man for wanting to wear his colors proudly

Maybe not officially. But what do you think the chances of any Esks player wearing #1 or #2 ever again?

The Esks don't officially retire numbers, however there are those certain ones which have been kept unavailable for quite some time, perhaps for good. Wilkie's 12 was such a number and it was only with Wilkie's blessing (which to his credit he gave quite willingly) did JM get to wear 12. He's honoured the legacy of that number quite well IMO.

Can't wait to see the type of player that would have #42 bestowed upon him with Kep's blessing.

But....Andre Bolduc had #12 before Maas was here.

I know that Wilkie was consulted prior to 12 being back in action

Fabian Burke was close to wearing the #1.

The adjacent #9 almost self ignited by passing wide outs burning him all game.

There is only one Eskimos Jersey that is retired to the best of my knowledge... #21 Don Warrington.

I believe that the organization retired Rollie Miles' #98 as well

it is.. but the team DID tell Rollie's widow that they'd retire it.. She was quite upset that someone was still wearing it.

I read an article somewhere.. Soudog's site, maybe?
