The Esks don't officially retire numbers, however there are those certain ones which have been kept unavailable for quite some time, perhaps for good. Wilkie's 12 was such a number and it was only with Wilkie's blessing (which to his credit he gave quite willingly) did JM get to wear 12. He's honoured the legacy of that number quite well IMO.
Can't wait to see the type of player that would have #42 bestowed upon him with Kep's blessing.
I will not, for a moment longer, support an organization who chooses to cowardly kneel where they once fiercely & proudly stood
There is only one Eskimos Jersey that is retired to the best of my knowledge... #21 Don Warrington.
Turf Toe:
- "...turf toe is a common malady that is more of a nuisance than a serious injury."
- "Turf toe can often progress into a chronic problem..."
- "A mild instance of turf toe (grade 1) can be merely aggravating while a serious case (grade 3) can be debilitating."
