QB's are essentailly set
RB's are essentailly set
Receivers essentially set unless Tucker signs elsewhere (unlikely)
O-line might require major reworking, Both Beaton and Morris could be gone, losing two starting tackles is trouble, also small hints about Lefsrud. O-line is our main concern.
DLine: very deep
Linebackers: Good but could possibly use a young Canadian
DB's Sooner or later age will catch up to one or more of our guys, Pail Jones seems to find lots of good DB's though
Return game, solid Kicking game good unless Fleming pulls a surprise and packs it in.

Agree with Flemming. It will be interesting to see if he wants to put up with the pressure next year. I hope so he is one of the best big game kickers ever. Most playoff fieldgoals ever.

So with RB's set...here's the question.
Are Goldie and Jenkins up for grabs?
If Lamar comes into camp healthy and ready to go, does Young lose his role?
I'm looking forward to having Bradley back on ST.
Where does Cavil fit on this team? This is a guy that has been a starter before, if we aren't going to play him, should we trade him for some Oline help?
Will La Rose have a chance at making the team this year?
Do we still keep three fullbacks?
Oh the questions to ponder in the offseason....can't wait till camp next year!

Jenkins will be gone I am sure. Probably McClendon as well though I can see him being at camp. He played pretty well for us in my mind and is a good player but Davis is number 1.
Lamar would not be competeing with Young as Lamar is an import I believe.
I can see Cavil getting dealt perhaps or maybe he will be at camp but he is not as good as the starters we have right now.
Larose and Bobst probably both have a shot at it. Larose would be going up against the guy we just got Atogwe I would think. Bobst against Glen Young if Bobst put some more meat on his bones, seemed to me he was a tad small last year at camp.
Probably will have 3 Canadian backs as those guys are the heart of our special teams but something kind of has to give with Bradley, Maurer, Bertrand and Dubuc back there, might be tough to keep all 4 of those guys.

And don't forget our possible future back, Diedrick. I would think that Bertrand has the best shot at FB, based on his production and blocking, Maurer, Bradley and Dubuc seem to be fixtures on special teams; Diedrick will fill Davis' shoes when he is catching a breather on the sidelines, IMHO.

i have always seen dubuc as more of a receiver than FB and would like to see the esks use him as such more often.... has really good hands for a big guy and is fast enough to get open on crossing routes and underneath plays

Not sure if I totally agree with the being fast enough bit, he might have okay speed once he gets going but from what I saw in camp last year he wasn't too fast off the line.
(and yes I totally forgot about Diedrick we are pretty loaded at Canadian RB's, I liked what Diedrick did in a limited roll last year.)
I am not real impressed with Maurer as a FB. He does not seem to have the weight behind him that Bertrand does. That could be just the shoulder pads, but that is what it looks like. I would like to see Deidrick used more, but he would have to improve his blocking, that was the reason he was not a starter. All of the Canadians will stay in that position, because of the import rule.

I spoke to Fleming today. I begged him not to retire. I told him he silenced the critics and asked if many people were eating crow today.
He seemed to enjoy it and had a big smile on his face.
If you ask me he is "Mr. Eskimo."

Maurer seems more maneuverable than Bertrand but I'd like to see a complete FB like a Sean Millington or Micheal Soles type.
If we were put on this earth to help others, what were the others put on earth for?

You may be right in terms of manuverablity, but the reason the fullback is there is to block for the feature guy and get the 1 or 2 yards needed on short yardage. I can not see maurer doing that on a consistant basis. Personally give me Blake Marshall and I will be a happy camper.
