I firmly believe in my HEAD, not my HEART, that the Eskimos are gonna start to take off from the pack. I think they will battle BC for first place, which the eskimos will win by the way. They have been here last year. Remember it was a couple weeks from Labour Day when they started to show their true muscle, with the actual LAbour Day game being the only slip. That Secondary has been the biggest concern and that will tighten with the FAB FIVE! back in place. As long as The D-line can get pressure, The O-line blocks well, and Special team continue to be up to snuff, I can't see why we only lose maybe 2 games the rest of the year.

I did forget about that. As long as we get that West Semi, at least, at home then we should be ok. Most teams haven't felt the pressure of a West Final. Only Saskatchewan has and I'd feel Ok against them. With that bye week in week 18, maybe it's not a bad thing after all. Finish first, and you'll be shaking off rust after a 3 week layoff..Quote from Inquiring Mind:

It's turn around time......this part of the sched should be somewhat easy to make up a little ground on the Lions if we don't put the wagon before the horse. It looks like my predictions from march may be almost right on the money. Before you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you insult him, you'll be a mile away, and have his shoes.

I agree with Sandys' eval. 6-3 the rest of the way 10-8 overall. We blew our good chance at first by not winning one of our last 2 road games. Games I see us perhaps losing, In Sask, in Montreal and in B.C. In anycase it's nice knowing we have an experienced playoff hardened team. No matter where we finish our boys know what it takes to come out of the west.

I believe in more of using your head also, however it takes alot of heart to do some of the things you have to do, like tackles some tackles you really have to have alot of heart cause if you were to use your head, forget it you could really get hurt! ( for example when Gass hit Moreale head to head) both could have broken their necks! true they used their heads but not for thoughts! If the whole team stays healthy and connected they will go all the way. I'm not sure why they seemed unsettled at first but time heals all and they will be back in the grey cup.
GO GREEN & GOLD GO ESKS !!
