    Fishman: I Apologize

I gave you a hard time when you predicted BC would finish first in the West. Boy, am I eating my words.

Their offence is insane. They make it look way too easy. 3 TD passes already against what is supposed to be the best secondary in the CFL...

Long way to go, but so far it looks like we'll be heading to BC Place for the Western Final this year.

I wouldn't hand it to them yet. There is plenty of time for the injury bug to bite them, plus I don't think they will play as well with DD back.

Yeah, like Diesel said, plenty of time.

Win on Sunday and we're 2 back.....that HTH will be crucial.

Even though there would be a 3 week lay off if the Esks finish first, I'd take it. You don't want to play another game when you don't have to, and I'd like our chances at Commonwealth more than on the road....

Hey no sweat, ya have to hand it to Wally. His teams compete, If I thought that DD would have missed most of the year my predictions early on would have been entirely different. Who would of thunk they'd be better without him in the lineup?

(I did say it would be close though, and we'd beat them in the West finals......here's to hoping I am truly clairvoyant)

How about I just call you clair, as your prediction seems likely to only be partially correct.

I think the most surprising aspect here is that Edmonton is behind the Lions at this date, I expected to see them in first and the rest chasing and perhaps one team pushing them, crossing my fingers that BC was the team. The match in BC is going to be huge to the way this turns out, glad I have a ringside seat for that match.

I'm not worried... lots of season still to play... and if BC does finish first I dont mind.. just as long as its only one team that finishes ahead of us... we must get a home playoff game...

While the Lions are looking really good at this point...it is only August! It is not the first time that Wally's teams have done this well early in the season only to come down a level in October and November. That being said, if the Esks lose to the Lions in Vancouver in September, that could me the last straw.

As for DD...I am not convinced that he is going to be starting as soon as he is healthy. I expect Wally, to continue to start Printers (why mess with a good thing) and give Dickenson some meaningful relief time...

To me it was never about what I accomplished on the football field, it was about the way I played the game.

For the first time I am starting to believe that Casey will remain at as the starting QB for the Lions when DD comes back. I like our depth at the QB position.

I can't see DD being happy as a 450K backup. There will be tension.

Uh guys...do we REALLY want to win first, given our bye week the last week of the season (i.e. too much rust with too long a lay off)?

That's a tough question. Would you rather have the bye (meaning one crucial step closer to the Grey Cup) and play the Western Final possibly rusty, or would you rather play the extra game (where anything can happen)?

Personally, I think that I'd rather have the bye. I don't think that the guys will let themselves get too rusty, knowing the importance of the next two games. Not having the bye means having to play the Western Final in someone else's park; while the Esks perform well at BC place, they seem to always struggle at Taylor Field and Canad Inns.

That's right, lately we have played very well at BC place. It would make a good road trip too!

                          I'd take the bye week.

It's easier to win 1 game to go to the Grey Cup, rather than 2.

Plus, I'd like our chances better at Commonwealth rather than BC place

Tough call there.....3 weeks off is a ton of time, good if there are guys with nicks & bruises, but hard to pick back up on the timing I'd think.....then again playing the extra game, there is always the chance of something bad happening (injury) or losing in the semi's......I guess we'll all have to wait and see it play out.
