Casey Printers looked great when he releived Dickenson when we met early in the season. When we played the lions at vancouver he really struggled. Casey had a lot of sucess his first time around. As he starts to play teams for the second time he is going to struggle against quality teams. There is enough film on him now. Coachs have a better idea of how to control and confuse Printers. My point is our coaches and players will make the necessary adjustments to hold Printers in check.

We did an excellent job with our defensive schemes and execution last game.....I see no reason why we cannot do the same this game......

Printers most dangerous weapon is his legs. We can cover receivers like a blanket but if Printers decides to run I'm afraid our d-line can't catch him.

Its up to the linebackers. Mobely and Grant will have to have a big game. Gass and Young can't run with him.

lt all comes down to a strong pass rush that is also DISCIPLINED. Pressure against Printers is only effective if you can contain him and not let him out of the pocket where he can use his legs as well as his arm.
But it is definately possible to control him. Printers is not the first QB in this league with the ability to throw and run. There is alot of guys in the league like him that the Esks have controlled.
Printers is good but he has proven nothing in this league yet. He is not the second coming, even though Lion fans seem to think he is.

Send Mobes on his seek & destroy missions in the Leo's backfield again.....If Casey gets rattled again (like he did the last time) I don't think it'll be a happy saturday for the Leo's.....

I have to disagree with you chucker, I do believe that Gass can keep printers in line, along with Mobley & Grant. I've seen Gass do alot of things out on that field that blows my mind. You must have faith my friend. I truley believe that the defence will keep Casey and gang right where they want them. Remember faith, just keep the faith because the talent is already there. After watching them out there Friday night, I know they are ready for BC. Even though Calgary was just plain aweful, the intensity from the big D was there.

You have to have a consistent rush on Printers to win. Ottawa was horrrible with their 3 man rush on second downs. If you let Printers get wide he will kill ya. DD might be available as well.

Remember guys Printers loves the big play, and to get outside of containment. If he can be held in the pocket his effectiveness goes down, and give us the better chance of a sack or two on him. Also the secondary will have to watch out for Simon. He seems to be Printers favorite target. Blitz Printers a few time early to shake him up a bit, combined with a couple of picks and we could forse him into making a mistake.

I swear the we blitzed more the last game than I've seen us do in years and years. We thought we were Montreal out there for a few series, I was very surprised. We should be okay as long as we don't let them do what Ottowa did, burn us deep for easy td's early.

It would also be a big help IF the Eskies offence can control the ball and keep the Lions off the field. BIG CHALLENGE for the Esks O-line.

Always good to pressure the QB in this league, with our field you can't give a guy time to find a receiver. I liked the way we used Grant & Mobes the last time to get pressure from the edges.

I agree keep him from rolling outside, and pressure him and he'll be less effective.. its going to be a helluva a game , can't wait !
