Good move, we wasn't doing much, and with Braidwood, Sommersell, and Montford, he's not needed.

I thought he had potential. Oh well.

Bizarre, last night I was thinking about the Esks and Coates was one guy I thought had done very little game wise after having a nice camp. I was hoping he would stay around for depth purposes however.

I didn't really like what I saw out of him. He wasn't quite a defensive end, he wasn't quite a linebacker, but he could play both. He'll find a new team and will play well.

Agreed. Good camp but didn't light the world on fire when he played.

I actually thought he looked pretty good on special teams. He looked brutal at defensive end but he had some potential as a linebacker and special teams demon in my view. Oh well...

I wonder if there's any chance of Cedric Scott coming back when/if he gets healthy. I liked what I saw of him last year and his story is pretty compelling.

                  Probably not.

The fact that we picked up Botterill probably made him special teams expendable, not to mention this probably opens up the spot for Gass.

I can see Abraham and Stewart leaving too, maybe not Stewart though, he has played well

Abraham has been a very pleasant surprise, I don't see him going anywhere. He beat out two canadian lbs that were drafted ahead of him in camp.
