Wow..... this site has become more and more like the Saskatchewan RoughRider site. Constant complaining, and whining about everything.

Here are some points I want you people to think about:

1. DM is not going to be fired this year. Pissing and moaning about the coach is going to get you nothing but an ulcer. Every mistake he makes is second guessed.

eg If DM would have left time on the clock (and the snap wasn't botched) and the lions made two plays and kicked a FG evreyone would be on this site crying " why didn't coach let the clock run out? After the Stegall play they should know better"

2. Campbell was right about execution. There was and still are too many missed tackles. Leave the guy alone.

3. Life is much better when you live it with a positive attitude. Constructive critisism is good but some posters are constantly going on angry rants. Relax guys. Football is here for our entertainment, it is not our life.

4. I thought the Esks played a good game on friday but more people seem hell bent on discussing the firing of DM, cutting Johnson, or discussing DM replacement. Try to take as many positives as you can from our last loss, and get excited for Labour Day!

If everyone is just going to keep bitching and moaning on this site, it is going to become very GAY very quickly. This site will be a carbon copy of the RoughRider forum. If that happens this site will be dead to me.

People here are pissed and rightfully so IMO.
I'd be pissed too if my team that was supposed to be good is playing like crap.

Difference between this site and a Rider site is most of the people here are realists - not many cheerleaders saying "OMG! DM rules! IF we fire him, we're DOOMED! I believe! THis is OUR YEAR!!!1!11111ELEVEN!"

Macocia has made some strange calls - ones that make me glad that we have Higgins *gulp* and IMO should be fired. I thought he was terrible last year too, but it brought the Esks a Grey Cup...

In short, this site is nothing CLOSE to a Riders site - if it were, I'd be much, much more of an ******* as I wouldn't have any respect for the majority of the posters. Thankfully, that isn't the case.

1) You are probably correct in that he won't get fired this year. The problem with the play was that he kicked on 2nd down a clear indication that we were set up to try and kick again if the snap was botched, otherwise he could have run the ball one more time or try a safe pass to to get closer than a non gimmee 40 yarder. In addition in the game before he did not run time off the clock at the end. You tell me what his strategy is, to run off time or to not run off time. It changes each game.

2) Yeah, he's right. Thus the players are either not being coached to tackle or we have the wrong players on the team. You choose.

3) Those that smile and ignore problems whether they are football related or life related are doomed to make the same mistakes again and again.

4) We are 3-6 and are clearly in trouble, two games we have flat out given away.

Here are my questions to you, are you happy with the Eskimos this year?

Has the coach displayed a knack for being a good coach at the end of games?

The bitching is not about one single play or one single occurance of bad coaching at the end, more like about 4 or 5 instances.

I'm not going to get and ulcer. I enjoy life too much for that to occur. I am not as worked up as many may think.

But the fact is DM has to go, he stinks as a head coach. It is time for him to move on. He was a fine offensive coordinator. He can't handle the extra duties as head coach, it is too much for him.

I was prepared for the 6-12 team to miss the playoffs. They really sucked. The difference here is this team is too talented to be where they are.

I'm not worried because my team is still better than the Riders and Stamps. Just the record doesn't reflect that due to poor coaching decisions.

Am I happy with the Esks this year? Not entirely but I have been quite pleased over the last two games. I also didn't mind when we beat BC and Calgary.

Good coaching at the end of games? Execution is the key. Stegall could have easily been tackled, and Johnson dropped a routine snap. These guys are PROFESSIONAL football players. They learned the fundamentals a long time ago. Tackling and catching snaps should be easily accomplished. More onus has to be put on the players, and execution. Play calling has also improved drastically.

Bitching is still bitching. There is half a season left and we are only one game out of a playoff spot. Why can't we be a little positive? Why can't we just say "GO ESKS GO!"

I will personally deliver a box of tide to every whiner if that's what it will take to clean out all of your poopypants.

Good post Ridersrule. Couldn't have said it better myself. Nothing has been easier for you guys than being Eskimo fans for the last 30 years. Some on this site still haven't grasped that.

Fans are fans...all of them bitch and moan when things aren't going well. Your coach wins the Grey Cup last year and now everyone wants him fired. Same crap, different pile.

Now besides the arrogance displayed by some, this is probably one of the best CFL fan sites around.
