    Burris appreciation thread

Well, everyone else is getting an appreciation thread.

I'd like to thank him for the two fumble TDs, 3 first downs in the first half , 64 net yards of offence in the first half, and his whining in the game.

Watching Burris whine makes me sick to my stomach.

Or should I be thanking Rick Campbell? The most excellent D coach in the CFL.

And how about that "never before seen" victory dance.....running a sprint race down a race track....how original....never would have guessed that's what you do on a racetrack......

Interesting that it was the Riders who moaned and bitched for a salary cap, and since a cap was put in place for them, they only years they've won they broke the salary cap rules.

Or the skipping rope in the endzone like they were 9 year old girls on the playground

Loved Sean McCormick's comments (paraphrased) on Sportsnet tonight after highlights of the last sack/fumble recovery/TD by Braidwood - "If you come into someone elses house and do showboating like that in the labour day rematch - you deserve to be smacked down like that"
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Burris whines and cries like a baby all the time, especially with that fruity pull the flag motion he does every time someone breathes on him. Defo a member of the Film Actors Guild.

You guys are too hard on Burris. He isn't in the same league as Nik Lewis:

"The way they played, they pretty much controlled the entire game," Burris said. "They did a good job getting pressure on me and keeping Joffrey Reynolds from running, and when I did have the chance to make some passes it just looked like I wasn't in synch when I was throwing.

"They played a great game tonight. Being able to stop Joffrey and the passing game, that says volumes about the way they played."

And who was it that was saying after the Labor Day game in Calgary that Ricky Ray NEVER gets the roughing the passer call? Well, after his cheesey little dive where he went down like he'd been shot (and really, he barely got touched) on that last drive, guess you can't say that anymore. WEAKEST roughing the passer call ever.

If there hadn't been contact with the helmet there wouldn't have been a call.

                      It was weak.

It was a stupid play by the Stamp defender, he wasn't going to lay a good hit on the QB, yet he pushed Ray's face anyway...I'm sure his coaches let him know about it...and Ricky Ray doesn't fake anything, he was a warrior last night...he never complained to the refs, and all he did while he got hit was look to see if he completed the pass. You can be harsh on Ray in a few areas, but you can't call him dirty or cheap or disrespectful...

I didn't call him dirty, cheap or disrespectful. I said he took a dive on the last roughing the passer call. Are you actually saying he didn't?

So what? Burris took a dive on labour day. It's called smart football.

So we are only owed 57 of those now. There are two or three QBs in this league that bitch every time they are hit and this influences the refs. I didn't think he went down like he was shot but if he did that was a first for him and it's about time considering how often he gets hammered. And the horrible roughing the passer call? Netted the Eskimos about 2 yards total.
