    Game 2: Ti-Cats vs Eskimos

I think the Eskies will get their revenge against the Ti-Cats in a close game tonight. And I can't wait to see A.J Gass takes Brock Ralph head off but this time it's gonna be a clean hit. The Eskies are 4 points back of the Riders so it looks like the Eskies will have to win their 6 remaining games to have a shot at the postseason. So GO ESKS GO!!!! AND GO LIONS GO!!!!

It's not even gonna be close. Esks in a blowout. They tease us again. Next week they'll lose.

      good point man,
This year its like almost similar to 2004 man, even though this year might seem worse then that season when we went 9-9. we have to win out just to get to that record this year, personally I think we finish 8-10 this year, meaning we're gonna have to roll the table and go (at minimum) 4-2 in the last 6 games, easier said than done man, We hold the cards with SSK, we beat them once more we win the season series, the more important games IMO are the 2 back-to-backs with Toronto Argos, if we can take 4 points from them, and then hopefuilly eek out a win in Montreal, wont be easy, but considering the Als struggles of late maybe them facing adversity earlier on would help them, since they always collapse later on in the season. The argos are in cowtown tomorow, and BC should be favoured to beat SSK, even though SSK are at home, BC is gunning right now, even without a healthy Dickenson, Pierce is handling it good.

man, its just not knowing what to expect game to game. Terry Jones of the edmonton sun has been kind of focusing on that a little bit the last few weeks, in his articles, just kind of like what you said , teasing us, man we know we got enough skill and talent, but other games we loose because we dotn have enough execution. We can call all the plays we want we need to execute man plain and simple.

I got a good comparison I think about execution... When Michael Jordan played everyone knows how he loved to compete, in everything every aspect, golf, poker etc. Well when M.J was in his zone, he knew nobody on the court could gaurd him, that mentality that whatever you do its gonna work. Its infamous storys that you hear that when MJ was in his groove no player was gonna stop him no matter what they did to try n slow him down (double teams, fouling etc) and I think some of the Esks players on offence atleast anyways can take a page out of that book , our guys need to have that feeling that when the ball is in mid-air that no Defensive Back is gonna stop them! Climb the rafters and do whatever you need to secure that ball, and get downfeild man, MJ used to tell the player guarding him what exactly he was going to do...and then go out and do it!! That fine line again between confident and cockiness eh, so for example MJ would tell the player gaurding him, "Driving right baseline, pull up for a 15 foot jump shot" or "drive past outside the key, and pull up for a 10 foot fadeaway" MJ was more vocal on the court, but he had that ability to go out and make plays and put your team on his back, let him carry, you. In football is more of a team game, as opposed to in basketball 1, or 2 elite level players will be able to win most games. In Football we need all 3 aspects of the game to be top par. The mentality is the same though, we need our playmakers on both sides of the ball! to go out like nothings gonna matter, make the big catch, pick up a big first down on 2 and 10, I dont think we have the worst talent on paper in the CFL, we just havent been showing what we're capable of, we have the guys to make clutch plays, confidence man is what its all about, as soon as you make a big grab for a 30-40 yard gain, forget about it! then go back to the huddle n make the same effort again, drop it, its in the back of your mind, that goes for the defence to, if they make a big play, FORGET ABOUT IT! i think thats were we've been fragile all season basically, milt Stegall's play highlighting that fact, we can drop our heads after a play doesnt go the way we want, just go out there on the field man, and play the game you love and like Maciocia said pride, Look on the wall of Fame at CW, see those names of the great players before us. Kwong, Gizmo Williams, Moon, Wilkinson.

to be forced to have to question your players pride game in game out, playing against hamilton man, 3-11 you shouldnt need your coach to get you fired up any more for this game, then a game in BC place, or a game in taylor field or a game in perival stadium in Montreal with frenzied going nuts.

Man im ive always been an optimist but without looking at it with rose color glasses on, we still have holes on D, and that will happen wen we loose guys most importantly the 2 biggest being Jeanty and Marsh, those guys are impact players and we still are looking for those players on D to make those plays we still have enough fire and leadership from our veterans, Robert Brown can play better, Gass will be fired up stoked, and Mobley nobodys i dont think has ever questioned his pride, he's a gamer man wit AJ.
Ed hervey was comenting in the papers, in radio this past week on big plays... 1) How we respond to big plays going against us? and 2) How we react after making big plays.

I made the same pick as last week. Ticats in a blowout.

The Eskimos might win one more game this year. I just don't know which one.

what happened to the guarantee that we win the last 10 of the season?
Before you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you insult him, you'll be a mile away, and have his shoes.

As bleak as it is right now, I believe we still control our own destiny. Win the next 6 and we're automatically in the playoffs as we'll be at worst tied with Saskatchewan and we would hold the tiebreaker. Looking at Saskatchewan's schedule, it's entirely possible we just need to win 4 or 5 out of 6 (two of which obviously have to be the games against Saskatchewan).

              I've been away. OPUS?

Had we beat the Stamps on Labour Day we would have won ten in a row.

Next year, when we have a good offensive coordinator.

I almost took in the premiere of “Flyboys” tonight.

If there's any justice tonight, Jesse Lumsden will blast through the Eskimo D line and level AJ Gass on his way to a TD.

Though I'd rather see the Esks lose, it's not gonna happen. They win in a blowout tonite.

There's no way Limsdin levels Gass.
