    You know.. we're not playing that bad.

    Very impressed with Pisani, Torres, Horcoff, Roloson, Hejda and Bergeron tonight.

    The problem?

    You don't win many games when Hejda and Bergeron are head and shoulders your two best defensemen.

    Paging Kevin Lowe.

    Again.

    Hopefully the injury to Smid was a blessing. Not only will the difference between Smid being out there and Roy being out there minimal, but we now lose the upside of developing the kid, so hopefully Lowe is a bit more motivated to get the freaking defenseman.

    Jan Hejda is having one helluva game.

    Once again I'm impressed with Lupul, Horcoff and Smyth. They're creating chances every time they're on the ice.

      This is why I like the blenders.

      This line was terrible early on the in year.

      Now they look pretty good together.

      Did someone threaten to castrate Lupul? He's starting to play with a bit of an edge lately. Hopefully it's not just a flash in the pan and he can actually keep it up.

      Horcoff has been the fastest player on the ice and is using his speed very well tonight.

      I'll say the Oilers win this 3-1, second goal is Horcoff on a Lupul rebound and the third goal is an EN for Stollie.

          Dys is short for Dynasty. It's an old Oilfans reference to the annoying Canucks fans who told stories about their team, and how great they were, and how great they would be during the apex of the Naslund - Morrison - Bertuzzi era. Unfortunately the Dys never advanced past the second round, and a lesson was learned about talking out of turn.

          I wholeheartedly approve of the use of Dys in this thread. Unfortunately "You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to PDO again."

                        I'm thinking if someone turned a flashlight on and pointed it at Naslund he'd disappear.

                        Oilers get to OT here.. they have to win this, they need this bad. Vancouver can't score and the Oilers have absolutely dominated this game in terms of scoring chances.

                          Rookie D costs us a game.

                          Who'd of thought?

                          I've heard the line about you start losing games you should win at the end of a slump a million times.

                          That's two in a row, thought tonight was much worse than last night in that regard.

                          On the bright side - we have 4 points in our last 3 games, so thank god for loser points.

                            And once again I am not impressed with the reffing. I think I fear Larue's crew more than MGeough. How could they miss the interference on Roli for the second Vancouver goal? Larue and the Oilers haven't been doing well together this year.

                            And I thought Cooke may have been offside on the winner. He was ahead of the puck carrier at the red line.

                            I love the World Juniors because they have the best refs in the world. They don't factor into the game.

                              Eh, the refs were consistent in calling nothing tonight and neither had a view. Just **** luck.

                              Replace 2006-2007 with 2003-2004, Luongo with Kiprusoff and Vancouver with Calgary.
